  1. I went the other year, on a cold a grey day. Horrifying to think that there are people who deny the Holocaust happened! Just seeing where the end game happened was numbing. Krakow was good, stayed in the old square, spent a while just drinking and taking it all in.
  2. Just what I've been told, not seen it nor understand it!
  3. Im told that because it is so caustic, there is no 'float' but a set of three sensors which are double probed and a current passes between the probes. These measure at 33%, 66% and 99% and work with the computer and other sensors! Why on earth they mix Urea with purified water in Holland and ship it in "use once" sturdy plastic drums and then think it is a good idea to squirt it into a hot exhaust is beyond me! Why not make a cleaner engine! I rang Ford relationship and they confirm that warranty is a 3 years or 60,000 miles on a commercial vehicle but they may have a goodwill fund available for up to 5 years or 100k miles.......
  4. My GreenMech towtug is a 3.2 Auto Ranger. In use for close on 18 months and done 82k. Okay, I tow a lot, often big loads and long trips - mainly on the cruise control. Upto recent history, I was fairly anal about using Shell V Power etc, serviced by a Ford spot when needed and Adblue was either of the forecourt or from a GreenMech dealer. As a measure - Motorway services charge more for a ten litre than an AG dealer does for 20! No one could tell me what average Adblue usage is so I have no comparison - but, with a long trip towing 3 tonne to Scotland and back, it would really use the stuff and I would seem to get through 20 litres in a few thousand miles. Other times, it may be a couple of months before any more was needed. Recently, I ran the clock down to less than 200 miles to go before 'no restart', filled it with 20 litres and away again. Ran the clock down to 140miles then another 20 litres (the gap was about 2500 miles mixed driving). The system should reset but this time, on restart, it said 605 before no restart. This went down to 142 between Glasgow and Carlisle. I tried to get more in but it would only take about 4 litres. I got it into my garage some 800 miles late with it still reading 142 - it actually rose to 160 on the day I took it in. After much head scratching, testing and emails to and fro, Ford say that the tank internals may have been damaged by me from using the wrong grade of Adblue. More so, no warranty is available as it is older than one year and more than 60k! You may remember the last Ranger I had was a friday nighter too! Anyone heard of Adblue issues in Rangers or the wrong grade of Adblue? Ford relationship centre and going to get a request for clarification....
  5. Give Beaver Plant a ring, they have a variety of sizes to go!
  6. I'll have to check but I'm pretty sure that a GreenMech ArbTrak200 in Poland did 3000 hours in a year!
  7. I got an 090 in an AV cage, 20+ year old 088 and 039 Farm Boss in a bucket!
  8. There is a stairway at Gristwood and Tom's place in Shenley full of old keltor, try them? Take a stand at a show?
  9. Damn spell check! We did have a Jade on front desk too at one point! Must change it to Jason!
  10. Exactly how much interest has Mark Schaefer of Spectrum got in Kipper Hire? Spectrum (and good luck to them) import the loaders, fire wood processors and grinders that are your sole inputs into this forum?
  11. Dan, the box on our TMP is pretty simple but has no pulse reverse. Jade will explain it or send a wiring diagram.
  12. We have a timeable reverse pulse on our current models. Takes pulses off of the alternator to measure speed too.
  13. Since Bartrams stopped trading, GreenMech have been looking for a partner for Sales, Service and Parts in the region. This Thursday, 5th December, GreenMech will be present at the Open Day/Evening of Thurlow Nunn Standen at their Melton Branch near Woodford. Peter Bagguley will be there supporting GreenMech and Julian Cullis with a couple of machines inside the workshop. Come along for a chat and see what we have to offer. I'm trying to get a new Evo165T, and a couple of other things on a trailer.

  14. Since Bartrams stopped trading, we have been looking for suitable partners to handle Sales, Service and Parts in the region for us. This coming Thursday, 5th December, is the Open Day/Evening of Thurlow Nunn Standen at their Melton Branch by Woodbridge. Peter Bagguley will be supporting GreenMech and the Area Manager, Julian Cullis, with a couple of machines at the event. I'm told that the event is on from 15:00 until 19:00 and we will be indoors! Come along for a chat, introduce yourself, see what we have to offer and meet the team at TNS.
  15. Not sure how many petrol units have been delivered tbh.
  16. Thought Dougie got out the big shop years back but rumoured to do a bit with saws etc....Top man, top people I always thought.....
  17. Charles gone home? The trades loss and their gain! Good luck to him. SA is no Eden! The Jensen is a lump of steel, as Ash said, go to another chipper outfit, they should be able to do the job. Parts would come from T H White's even Redwood!
  18. Does Dougie Bennett at Tavy still do stuff? On another note, 200 pages about wee chippers! Thanks Stevie Blair! It was thanks to you really!
  19. Correct, an old Timberwolf, a GreenMech and a Chinese made pos called a Nixon. Not even worth the scrap value that one!
  20. Farmi 260 HFC Crane Fed Chipper with Hydraulic Feed Bed Electric Controls - Price Estimate: £ - £ MACHINERYSALES.CHEFFINS.CO.UK
  21. John, try Stewart Ball at South West ARB, he has a Forst for sale. He got a new GreenMech lately and I couldn't place his part ex so he kept the XR8.
  22. If their is no visible signs of bearing failure at the top pulley, I would check all the fabrications along the chassis rail and the chip chamber mounting to that. It would never have left the factory with those misaligned belt pulleys. You need to get some bandage on your flexible exhaust section too.
  23. Sorry, just read your last. If you are sure cradle and hinges are good then it is likely that rear has sagged which is worse!
  24. I'm pretty sure that the hinges on the cradle are goosed. Engine shaft looks good - either cradle bent or wear in hinges or pins.
  25. Really does look like engine cradle is goosed! Either hinges, rubbers or cradle itself! Gan you waggle bottom pulley on engine?
