  1. Sussed that! Got the tyre man to out that on the inside so that you have to look closer!
  2. Crowborough!?! East Sussex!?! Blimey! You couldn't get much further away! But you are welcome!
  3. https://www.hamiltonrossgroup.co.uk/come-along-to-our-bishopton-open-day/
  4. So I understand! I'll check that detail - it may be by invite but a call to Hamilton Bros or Ross of Lanarkshire will get you in!
  5. Wednesday 12th March, GreenMech are at the Ingliston Country Club on the Old Greenock Road out of Bishopton, Glasgow. Hamilton Bros are having an open day and Peter B will be there with an ArbTrak 200 and an Evo165.
  6. Blimey! That's asking a lot! Rust free steel tipper from 2000! And in blue!!! Best off buying a new one to suit as everything else from that era will be dead!
  7. Have B F Goodrich on my 18 month old Ranger. Done over 40k and likely to get close to 100k I think! Don't do much off road, plenty of towing though! Original fit tyres only seem to get circa 30k.
  8. I feel sorry for the technicians at Shepshed Ford, they done everything that Ford have told them to and that has taken the time. I understand that things break down and workshop's cost etc. But it is devilishly frustrating and time consuming! My job revolves about towing GreenMech wood chipper products up and down and having a ropey old thing or getting a very expensive rental to do my work is a PITA!
  9. Update!!! Motoring God's aren't with me! I got put in the spare Ranger, it had the engine rebuilt after the pre Christmas episode and had thousand miles of light work! The following morning, a foreign driver reversed in to it at an island!!! Minor damage but still a PITA! The garage ring, Ford's finest came out and spent 5 hours with the local chaps. With the tank on the floor, they got it to read 100%, in the car it would only read 67%. A duff measuring system was blamed. One is on order to be fitted. Cost this time is estimated to be £750, and the local chap is down 5 hours labour which he doesn't want to charge us but Ford won't pay out on! If this doesn't work, they tell me that it could be a couple of days removing and checking all the wiring at massive cost!!! Ford Relationship Centre deny that the first visit for misreading AdBlue is anything to do with them. All very disappointing and doesn't really make me want to give them my vote!
  10. Update! The loom checked okay, so Ford told them it was the pump module. This checked out okay as was recently replaced. Ford told them it was the injector, this was checked and was 100%. Now a Ford Field engineer has to come and view it personally as no one knows where to go next!
  11. Who is the other agent for Jo Beau? Thought had it country wide!?!
  12. Short means less load space and less chance of overloading!
  13. I got told to keep a stop solenoid in the glove box to replace a busted one at crossroads or lights!
  14. You are very true with the statement! Bad news travels further than good, the internet is generally full of had reviews and disgruntled folk! Rarely do people post things like "Yup!, Never an issue with mine!" Or "faultless service and value for money!" Or just the basic "no probs!" To be fair, the garage have spoken to me along the way and I would try to use the same people with whatever truck I get next! Far better than the last Ford dealership I was involved with. The truck too, has been comfortable and reliable apart from this saga. On balance, things have been okay, just frustrating. It seems that there may be issues with a wiring loom in the rear section. This may have caused a certain amount of misdiagnosis locally, that being said, a Scottish friend said straight away that he had been told that there is an issue with the rear looms!
  15. Friday tomorrow, I wonder what's been done on it this week! Perhaps they'll ring. To be fair, I do sense a whiff of upset in the local chaps, being asked to do Ford's dirty work ain't easy!
  16. Correcting! 33% Urea and 67% distilled water - give or take. AdBlue is the trade name and there is no different grades NB as far as we can ascertain. Still, Ford say I've used the wrong stuff somewhere along the line.
  17. To be honest, with a grand to spend? He has to get real! He ought to spend more than that on something to do the proper job
  18. The garage ran on Friday, they had done everything that Ford told them to do, again, only this time, they didn't seem convinced with Ford's comments on "wrong adblue". It didn't do 25 miles without warning lights appearing! Back in again.....
  19. It is a bit of an emotive question tbh. However, we went to auto Rangers as GreenMech tow tugs, personally speaking, I wouldn't go back to a manual now! Even the marketing chap who I gave a ride was complimentary, as good as his posh Mercedes car! I'm currently in a Discovery as a temporary measure and the 8 speed automatic in that is seamless!
  20. Not sure but we purposely use an underpowered grinder, you cannot overheat the blades as the motor stalls out ahead of that kind of abuse!
  21. We do a blade grinder for our Disc Blades, it would be fairly easy to mackle up a slide etc for flat blades. You just got to understand that precision and not overheating blades is key!

Entice me with a bid, when I get chance, I'll blob some fuel in her and try to pull her! She was running a couple of years back!

I happen to have an 090 in the garage, wasn't looking to sell to be honest. Sentimental value n all that! Their cannot be that many left now, why not use a more modern thing that will be marginally quieter, easier to start with spare parts available?
  24. Send me your address, I got an original manual somewhere. As previously said, does she have a no stress solenoid and plug/lead to plug into the trailer socket on the tractor? Switch on the head lights if she has!
  25. The 45 weighs just a tad more than the 25. Bit of weight in the turbo and a bigger cooling pack adds a tad! Makes me smile just to hear the vast difference in noise levels - so quiet! Less stressful for those feeding it as well as those in the work area.
