  1. Correcting! 33% Urea and 67% distilled water - give or take. AdBlue is the trade name and there is no different grades NB as far as we can ascertain. Still, Ford say I've used the wrong stuff somewhere along the line.
  2. To be honest, with a grand to spend? He has to get real! He ought to spend more than that on something to do the proper job
  3. The garage ran on Friday, they had done everything that Ford told them to do, again, only this time, they didn't seem convinced with Ford's comments on "wrong adblue". It didn't do 25 miles without warning lights appearing! Back in again.....
  4. It is a bit of an emotive question tbh. However, we went to auto Rangers as GreenMech tow tugs, personally speaking, I wouldn't go back to a manual now! Even the marketing chap who I gave a ride was complimentary, as good as his posh Mercedes car! I'm currently in a Discovery as a temporary measure and the 8 speed automatic in that is seamless!
  5. Not sure but we purposely use an underpowered grinder, you cannot overheat the blades as the motor stalls out ahead of that kind of abuse!
  6. We do a blade grinder for our Disc Blades, it would be fairly easy to mackle up a slide etc for flat blades. You just got to understand that precision and not overheating blades is key!

Entice me with a bid, when I get chance, I'll blob some fuel in her and try to pull her! She was running a couple of years back!

I happen to have an 090 in the garage, wasn't looking to sell to be honest. Sentimental value n all that! Their cannot be that many left now, why not use a more modern thing that will be marginally quieter, easier to start with spare parts available?
  9. Send me your address, I got an original manual somewhere. As previously said, does she have a no stress solenoid and plug/lead to plug into the trailer socket on the tractor? Switch on the head lights if she has!
  10. The 45 weighs just a tad more than the 25. Bit of weight in the turbo and a bigger cooling pack adds a tad! Makes me smile just to hear the vast difference in noise levels - so quiet! Less stressful for those feeding it as well as those in the work area.
  11. Les Gammie at Gammies Groundcare in Forget have both tracked and towed available. Call them on 01307 468556.
  12. Nice work! I'd have been tempted to mount it on the trailer so that it isn't extra weight to push about and could conceivably be used to pull other stuff into the trailer?
  13. Think that is how I did one at GreenMech. Puller through the pulley to the back of the boss, suitable nose on the puller thread to prevent damage and it eased off quite easily. Loads of meat on the shaft/ boss while not much and possible flex on the outer ring.
  14. Ford refused to contribute as I caused the fault using the wrong AdBlue. They couldn't be clearer on their meaning of this but, no help at all! It lasted a month! Yes, it has gone wrong again, not measuring properly and has to go back in. This time, I had not put any in, it just counted down to 440 miles to go, dropped overnight to 140 then went back up to over 500! I put 19 litres in and is stuck at 597! Bloody thing!
  15. Ranger is a commercial vehicle with private car warranty!
  16. Be careful fitting them, if you crush them by over tightening, they will blow. Also, check all earth leads!
  17. Talk to T H White's, the importers?
  18. Hydraulic press, go for it! May have to apply a little heat to the pulley too.
  19. I hear about a lot of tenders priced in that manner and wonder why there is such a big difference in the prices - if I was opening the bids, I would be quite sceptical of those bids at either end of the spectrum too! Canopy is a decent company, not top heavy in management, work to current best practice, there to make a reasonable living and yet beaten by a quote which seems a tad low! How is the winner going to do the work to the same standards etc and make a few sheckles?
  20. No, it is man enough to take it! It will still come with the 3 year warranty and features oversize rotor bearings blah blah blah!
  21. Also did plenty of miles in an Hyundai IX35. That went very well too! Upright driving position, very capable, very comfortable and relatively economical too. Found the two local dealers helpful too!
  22. It looks the same as those in the ZIP file, the point is power without the weight, a blinding performance from an under stressed unit, with very good build quality, reliability and made under one roof by industry experts! Buy a compliant powerhouse before we are all forced into Tier 5!
