  1. List price of the 18hp is £4,730 plus vat.
  2. Well done Ash, was just setting about putting a post up about the new CS80!
  3. Many wished life was as easy and simple as that. I get where you are coming from but.....you don't grow back from an injury with this kit!
  4. Always surprised that on these types/uses of shaft, that there isn't a couple of grease nipples to be able to lather them up along shaft length!?! There is a hell of a lot of torsional drag when raising or lowering the tool with power on, that 'twist' really does put pressure of the tubes as well as the spiders but it ain't easy to lubricate the inner and outer surfaces.
  5. Oh Blimey! I would check that the controls satisfy the H and S E regs before you spend any more on it. I'm not sure it does! Kilworth machinery are the current importers and may be able to help.
  6. Up here for a few days with the Black Isle Show and amazed and saddened to see the change over the last few years with the march of DED. I got used to seeing small patches of sapling type trees with DED in The Midlands and North England, but up here, there are some tidy sticks that have it. I had the pleasure some 30 years ago of telling the last big tree in the Parish of Sutton Bonington, the last of 97 huge trees, that my family had out. So seeing some big sticks is sort of reminiscent of the 60's, 70's and early 80's in other parts and will not have been experienced by many tree people today, certainly, many mills will not have had round timber like it! In fact, the number of mills has declined as round timber is not as available any more in the same quantity or cost.
  7. I know the Etesia rep, Ian Collington, he told me that if you can push it over and climb it, it will destroy it!
  8. Underneath your truck is very clean! Credit it to you Bob!
  9. He has been given the poisoned chalice, for sure! If it goes for a GE, can you imagine Corbyn and the rest in? Doomed for sure!

    Skid Steers

Yonks ago, Lewis Equipment built the SteerKid, a small wheeled stand on, but with four wheel steering etc, anyone ever come across them?
  11. I would like to say, why do we give him mileage with his pseudonym? He should be referred to by his name and treated fairly for his crimes and so should go to jail in an anonymous fashion for a lot longer than the law allows!
  12. We still use that 'lock' on other models although it is being phased out. A simple, efficient, way of having the 'two movements' that was required.
  13. Have a go with the new GreenMech Evo165, send me a pm and I'll get that organised.
  14. Buy local, support your local supplier and he will support you! Warranty rates paid to the workshop are never any good so no dealer really enjoys doing it. But, if you gave him the pleasure of your business in the first place - that helps to soften the blow.
  15. Mechanically robust, easy to care for and live with, big opening, off the shelf spares and will last for years! Bonnet is plastic and now only available in black. Not less than 750kg if you haven't got a towing licence! Send me a pm with the serial number and I'll give you what we have on the history.
  16. Go for the GreenMech!?
  17. Shrek Wee Brother, aka Stevie Blair, is pretty well responsible for 80 odd pages on Gloria and another 180 odd on 'Wee Chippers' and changed/advocated the use of these machines as part of a professional piece of kit!
  18. The OP has left the building! The two threads on Wee Chippers have enlightened the world on the subject of "big ain't necessarily the best!" Thanks Steve!
  19. I'd look at a powered barrow and a standard machine myself. Then you have two machines that do their quoted jobs rather than a chipper that cannot carry anything on other jobs etc..
  20. I've not heard that we are ceasing production! We will certainly have to change the engine for summer 2020, but nothing else has been said yet! We may fit the same engine without the turbo or even a big petrol EFI unit, but that is to be decided yet. Even if we did, parts would be available for many years to come as we have made so many!
  21. Some of it no doubt, but other stuff can be recycled! How much will the fencing, logs and kindling fetch?
  22. A few firms have been having a right clear out! https://bid.wattsauctions.co.uk/m/view-auctions/catalog/id/615/?page=1
  23. Why not just buy a new one? Jensen comes into the country through TH White and they have a number of dealers up and down the country.
  24. In effect, you become the "no stress" device! A demo with a CS100 is epic if there is Conifer to be done, it really is quite impressive!
