    Skid Steers

Yonks ago, Lewis Equipment built the SteerKid, a small wheeled stand on, but with four wheel steering etc, anyone ever come across them?
  2. I would like to say, why do we give him mileage with his pseudonym? He should be referred to by his name and treated fairly for his crimes and so should go to jail in an anonymous fashion for a lot longer than the law allows!
  3. We still use that 'lock' on other models although it is being phased out. A simple, efficient, way of having the 'two movements' that was required.
  4. Have a go with the new GreenMech Evo165, send me a pm and I'll get that organised.
  5. Buy local, support your local supplier and he will support you! Warranty rates paid to the workshop are never any good so no dealer really enjoys doing it. But, if you gave him the pleasure of your business in the first place - that helps to soften the blow.
  6. Mechanically robust, easy to care for and live with, big opening, off the shelf spares and will last for years! Bonnet is plastic and now only available in black. Not less than 750kg if you haven't got a towing licence! Send me a pm with the serial number and I'll give you what we have on the history.
  7. Go for the GreenMech!?
  8. Shrek Wee Brother, aka Stevie Blair, is pretty well responsible for 80 odd pages on Gloria and another 180 odd on 'Wee Chippers' and changed/advocated the use of these machines as part of a professional piece of kit!
  9. The OP has left the building! The two threads on Wee Chippers have enlightened the world on the subject of "big ain't necessarily the best!" Thanks Steve!
  10. I'd look at a powered barrow and a standard machine myself. Then you have two machines that do their quoted jobs rather than a chipper that cannot carry anything on other jobs etc..
  11. I've not heard that we are ceasing production! We will certainly have to change the engine for summer 2020, but nothing else has been said yet! We may fit the same engine without the turbo or even a big petrol EFI unit, but that is to be decided yet. Even if we did, parts would be available for many years to come as we have made so many!
  12. Some of it no doubt, but other stuff can be recycled! How much will the fencing, logs and kindling fetch?
  13. A few firms have been having a right clear out! https://bid.wattsauctions.co.uk/m/view-auctions/catalog/id/615/?page=1
  14. Why not just buy a new one? Jensen comes into the country through TH White and they have a number of dealers up and down the country.
  15. In effect, you become the "no stress" device! A demo with a CS100 is epic if there is Conifer to be done, it really is quite impressive!

    Rugby

I had heard! Too busy to watch it and understand that Sarries wonban good match!
  17. As the man said. Check for flow rates and carrying capacity. No flow - no go! Also, you may need to be sure that your engine has enough cooling capacity to run flat out with choked radiators as mulching is a right dusty job. That goes for driver protection and cooling too. Some people spec up the carrier on purchase to do the job that they want rather than acquire the unit hoping to find a flail that might fit/work. Good luck going forwards. Are you mulching or flailing - they are different.

  19. PlantWorx and RailWorx 2019 is at the Peterborough Showground on June 11th - 13th. GreenMech will be there with the new Evo 165 range and the Safetrac and SureTrac range of wood chippers.
  20. Whilst having a de-clutter and archive in my spot - amongst all the detritus that is not needed is a new Farmi manual for the HF260. It is free to the first person who asks! Well, not quite free, they have to pay any significant postal charges if the occur!
  21. I just looked at the Bugenot video, how would you get that upstairs!?! Plus, I'm not overly sure that that thing complys with the regs for power fed chippers. I'm sure that the distance from the pinch point of the rollers to the end of the indeed is longer than that and I'm pretty sure that power fed units are not allowed to slope down. Check out the regs at the H+SE webpage!
  22. Please feel free to do that any time.
  23. An all red one and the finished purple unit!
  24. At under 200kg, stripped down to Vee Twin engine and two chutes, plus cassette and a guard there is nowt to it! Rob Rainford ain't no power lifter either!!!
