  1. If you are in Suffolk, then why not go to the factory and pick them up from there? They will have all the currently required H&SE stickers on the shelf.
  2. Smart chicken shed! Love the colour - do you live in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the colour was a pre-requisite in the planning application? It looks like National Trust green!

Looks good in the 1st pic Ben, is putting www worth it nowadays or do people read it as a web address if followed by .com etc.
  7. I recently thought about entering into local politics because I'm fizzed off with ineffective people working at local level but then they are held down by the regional councils who are held down by national policies made up by the mandarins who rule this country out of Whitehall, not Downing Street. But yes to one post, greed (power or money or fame)overcomes ones beliefs!
  8. Almost true Janey - we recently had an an election and what was the turnout? An election is a method of effecting change although we (the electorate) can only change it into something else on the paper! That is not really "change" in the manner you prescribe. If one thinks that one can do better, then please, be my guest and start to try! We will soon find that we will swap one shower for another, but they will have less credibility and experience. (regrettably)
  9. I have been to hundreds of different shows over the last 10 years with GreenMech and quite often say that shows like this would be better every two years but planned in tandem with other shows. APF one year, AA the next etc. That way, things have a "freshness" about them, they are incredibly expensive to set up and manage so the sales outlets have to maximise their return. A show is, afterall, a sales event with a social side tacked onto it. If no one buys, no one exhibits. If no one exhibits then there is no show. My thanks to Gustharts for the effort in putting on the event and our dealer, Arbtech Machinery (Dave Oliver and John Storey as the sales manager) for a good couple of days.
  10. Sounds like you are going down the right route to me. If it is only brash then chip it if you are only reducing volume.
  11. Go for it Jan, personally, I'd go for the small block chev!
  12. Do quantify, please dear chap.
  13. "Naughty"? They have "naughty" trees down south. Up north, we only have jobs that might take a little longer, we don't recognise the danger!
  14. I'd believe in them if I can call that Ghostbustys!
  15. Ducker and TP are one and the same if my info is correct. Ducker "buy" so much production time per year and the machines are re-badged but basically the same. Osbornes have sold them for years - they quoted me for one some 25 years ago! (not that I'm an old fart or owt!)
  16. HTC Desire for drugs and women, Blackberry for GreenMech business:sneaky2: HTC is only for personal stuff so GM cannot accuse me of making calls I should not do on their 'phone.
  17. Hey Steve, hope all is well with you and yours. Can you send me the details of the firm that held the auction for the Treeworks effects. They had a banner on your site for a bit.

    Ta!

  18. Anyone remember the name of the firm that did the auction? Or better still, who got the GreenMech 1928 SafeTrac?

    Quick joke.

My 14 year old lad came out with "What do you do if you are in the jungle and come across a Tiger? My 12 yo daughter said "I don't know" Tom replied " Wipe it off and say excuse me"! Needless to say, his Granny was not impressed!
  20. Whose name was carved into it? Did you count the rings?
  21. GreenMech is attending!
  22. Bandits used to have a cavity under the bottom roller which used to fill up and I wonder if it is something to do with that? A 45 deg Bandit has the occasional issue with stuff left in the space betwixt roller and rotor which jam the rotor when you next go to start it. Maybe it is to do with that?
  23. Hi Jim, not sure what it does bit be sure to clean the castellations on the tetorqursting cockle washer when we you fit it! My mate didn't, and his wife was upset with the noises and smell emanating. Seriously tho, are you messing with the hydraulic circuit. If that "cavitates" then you could ruin the pumps and motors as it means to suck in air!
  24. My Isuzu Rodeo is now five years old and has covered 250,000 miles almost fault free. In one week the front section of the exhaust has failed, the battery has died and she has sprung a few oil leaks! They don't make them like they used too! Incidentally, the front section of the exhaust has a short flexi section - which is where it failed. From Isuzu, I was quoted £571 plus vat which includes my high mileage discount! (plus fitting and gaskets). One from from a breakers is a cool £80.
  25. Are you sure that the fuel solenoid is working properly and that the fuel rack is opening up when the solenoid works? It sounds more like a fuel delivery problem and not an electrical problem to me. If you think it might be compression issues, then do a compression test. Was it running very roughly when it last worked? If it had a dropped valve then the engine would sound very different and you would feel the lack of power.
