  1. I did have a chat with Paul Abbott on our stand about it and I have to admit that I can see that it has a application for ute work, where a lot of chip is left on site and 4x4 is a must. A good customer of ours was looking to get LR to do him a likely device to carry a 6" GreenMech PTO and discovered that axle loadings, fuel regs, licence regs, cost blah blah blah were going to be an issue. Perhaps that is why not many Agri-Rovers were built/sold. Fair play to Paul and his team for having the balls to give it a go. (Still would have been better with a GreenMech tho)
  2. 3 people are coming to the show to see that one, absolute steal! First come first served tho! Get in early is my advice. Got your bolts Steve - we have a chat about a Quad Chip at t'show. Cheers
  3. Me mother and Father went to live in Hinstock years ago, in a converted Butchers shop which had been a pub a few hundred years ago. Dad wanted to change it back to the pub name but the was opposition to both names. Cock Hall and Cock Inn. A bloke round the corner from me calls his house Furkham Hall.
  4. Come on Ian, your a Yorkshireman - get with the programme lad - we are all out there for profit, you, me, everybody! Your right in that that bearing you got was a tad dear but, you paid. You might not ever go there again but you did pay!
  5. Jan, your trying to compare machines with different applications. One is on wheels and one is on tracks. If you need tracks, then you might be limited in your choice of machine. If not, then you will have plenty to choose from. You are correct in saying that the Pred 50 looses power driving the head hydraulically. Most hydraulic applications loose about 25% of their power. Therefore the Pred 50 has 37.5 at the head.
  6. Well spotted Josh The top picture was taken in the '80s I believe and subsequently someone sold it off and had NVS put on instead. Notice too the slightly different profile of the wheel arches and the rear lights have changed. I've got my work cut out getting ride of some rust issues and a couple of mechanical issues and add to that, electrical issues over this winter.
  7. I got this for fun but my kids now tell me that it is a keeper. Sweet 16, I'm the 6th name on the log sheet since 1948!
  8. Right true Ian, some things get marked up royally because they are in short supply or difficult to get hold of. Electromagnetic clutches are supplied by probably 3 or 4 firms in the world so the prices are usually erm "worthwhile".
  9. I agree with you on the Audi but that Ural? Bit OTT for a "cosy" 4 berth.
  10. Hi Jan, Welcome to the forum, the UK main dealer for Rayco is Westcon Equipment based in Dorset, call Big Trev on 01258 859103 he does tech support and should be able to help. Cheers
  11. There is a place called Pink Green just north of Redditch
  12. I'm there every day:sneaky2: Plus also set up/breakdown:sneaky2:
  13. There is a "Butt Hole Lane" in Shepshed.
  14. Overland Environmental Services Ltd, Tadley, Hants. 0118 981 4297
  15. "I think the Stowmarket suppliers have gone?" Mike Zarkos stacked the schliesing suppliers job some years ago, they are now done by Overland Arbtrucks in Tadley, Hants, RG26 3PX 0118 981 4297 I believe.
  16. Well folks, it'll get dealt with on monday when the world wakes up! Andrew sent me a pm.
  17. Good post on a neglected or hidden subject. Very best wishes for a bright future and pain free op.
  18. Hi Andy, GreenMech don't have any sub 750kg machines at the mo, but I'll chase around the dealers on monday to see whats available and send you a pm on monday evening.

    Cheers

  19. ME! How much do you want to spend (be real)? How big do you want? How much can you tow? How about new or used? How about a PM?
  20. Hey Ed, Not dissing you or any other (I'll take that drink:thumbup1:). My sales pitch was "Buy British" - I would prefer it if it was all GM:sneaky2: but I agree, all competition is healthy as it prevents us from getting complacent. But the thread was TW or GM and as choice is personal, then of your choice is another then why derail the thread? How's life Ed, glad to hear that your still doing the Jensen thing, see you at the APF. Cheers
  21. Great pictures of the GreenMech stuff. I'm talking to Paul Turner from CBL and Julian Cullis is talking to Jeremey Smithers in the background of the tracked machine. I'll upload the photos taken by JC from a 'picker later.

I know this is from years ago but when I ran a tree company with between 10 and 12 employees, if I went into the bank (dressed in dirty work clothes or smart casual) I was treated with respect and quite often the manager saw that I was in and offered me a coffee in her office and was interested in how we were doing and how we rated their performance. They were always trying to sell us something, keyman cover, life insurance, business insurance, money etc. But as soon as things went bad the shutters came down with a right slam - and that was before I had proposed a rescue plan involving me downsizing my house to release twice the equity required. Bloodsuckers! The lot of them.
  23. Hi Ed, Yes it was a blatant sales pitch and I'm proud of it! I find football totally unwatchable but I still support England. I don't like Hamilton but I would prefer he or Button to win. Cricket bores me, but I hope that England do Pakistan. I'm not that into motorbike racing, but I wish all the best to Leon Haslam. Most athletics and running I find tiresome but I wish Team Great Britain every success in the 2012 Olympics. I would have prefered a LandRover over a Japanese crewcab but could not afford (justify) it. Why pay extra for something which is not worth THAT much more when there are viable alternatives which also help the National Economy. Is Patriotism dead?
