My Rodeo has just had its 252,000 mile service, the main dealer was not sure what to do for a service as the schedule wasn't long enough! A quick calculation makes me think I've used about £60k of fuel and about £10k in servicing in five years. Tyres have lasted 70k, 110k and the set on there are half worn at 70k. One clutch replaced with a gearbox seal at 180k (warranty), no UJ's done, no wheel bearings and only one set of pads. She is still going strong and returning about 35mpg. Shame that it has a tacho fitted tho - who else has a tacho in a crewcab? I'd have another.

A driving license is the cheapest and one one of the best qualifications that money can buy. It is one of lifes door opener. Jobs, holiday, fun and day-to-day life! Don't loose it or abuse it!

Hey David, No probs mate. Information is king and the world is a better place for the differences in us all. Debate is good and reading intelligent posts is what is good for the less well able amongst us. The original post was, as I said, just a bit of fun poked at some god-awful treework that's all.

Janey! It's comforting to know that there are some other "culture vultures" amongst the members! Good on you! By the way, I want to take my kids to an outdoor "sound and light" spectacular this summer, anyone know of a good one to get too (Not Glydebourne neither)

I only posted the original thread as an example of truly awful work carried out by someone who doesn't know or care what they are doing. It was not intended to start a debate on what(or who) is right in the treeworld. Lighten Up Folks!

Good race, this season is the best so far with flaps that move and electric engines (are they counted as hybrid now?) With regards to the rain, as someone said, the are a canoe with a wheel on each corner so they have to stop! Plus the bike race wasn't as wet as Canada. Get on JB, show them how it is done!

Les, if anyone is looking at buying a biggish piece of kit and they are honest - all they have to do is ring the manufacturer/supplier and give the serial number. If the trader is honest, he will offer every assistance in the sale! There is no such thing as a "bargain", if it is really cheap then there is a reason!

Chris Ball of Clitheroe has contacted us to inform us that his '05 Safetrac was stolen out of his yard on Sunday morning along with a Brian James trailer. This machine was fitted with an electric winch in a home made bracket and had a ex-WD toolbox fitted to the top of the chipper. Chris can be contacted on 07973 349006 if you are offered one that you are suspicious of.

I was in Rotherham yesterday and didn't have my camera (forgot the one on the phone). Anyone going to own up to knocking the trees about outside the United Carpets showroom on Rawmarsh Road? I'll get a photo next week or soon after unless someone local can do it!

Call Derek Harris, he is over by Carmarthan way. I can think of another couple of guys if that is too far west.
