1. Works for me!
2. Overloading again Pete!?!
3. Bugger! The 170 was also fitted with 4LE1 Isuzu as fitted to the 220. Okay, some mods, pulleys etc. But, crikey, did it go with that!
4. Bandit 65?
5. Is it a flexible plate machine or one with the alloy bell housing and a solid shaft? Even then, I have seen one of those break too. Wise words though, check it out and confirm!
6. We have fitted several tracked units with RC for tracking - infeed us just a variation. Cost of valves and remote unit can be high though.
7. We usually stick on a buffet lunch with hot drinks or soft drinks available. The tours are about engineering and building not necessarily "Bang Bang Bang, buy GreenMech!"
8. Interesting turn of events. I get the car back and within a few days, a warning light comes on! I photograph the dash to show the light and mileage and involve the garage. They admit that some head scratching is going on but say that they will send the injectors away to be tested. They went quiet when asked if the new engine had injectors or they fitted those out of the dead engine, they also went quite when we suggested that we read the report on the stripdown of the knackered engine and what caused it to sieze. It is back with them and I'm in the spare again.
9. Thanks for the apology. GreenMech/Turner Engineering built or looked at building various hege cutting flails, including pedestrian units, grass cutting equipment, four wheeler utility vehicles, small aircraft movers, disabled vehicles amongst other things for 30 years before concentrating on woodchippers in GreenMech. They have exported things worldwide and still do now with interests in Germany, France, Czech Republic, Malaysia, dealers that cover many different countries too! In fact, we are Europe's largest manufacturer of woodchippers. We have always said that we are a customer lead company, in that, if you have an idea for a machine that will sell in enough numbers, we would look to building it! We see the factory in Alcester as a blacksmith shop which makes woodchippers at the moment. But it could be something else. Another factory tour event is being considered for early next year for those who are interested.
10. What on earth gives you the idea that that is how we started? That is fairly far from the truth! The Turner family had in manufacturing for some 30 years prior to starting GreenMech so they do know what they were doing!
11. Welcome to the Wee Chipper Club! There are some right good tips available if you trawl that thread. Or give me a call next week on 07774 282481
12. Everything has a place in the market. This is just another rebranded product brought to market with Hyundai colours and brand. They doing it a lot at the moment with generators, compressors, saws, and all manner of stuff, not made or touched by Hyundai in any way. This is cheap, would get you out of a spot, would be as hard work as any other small grinder and as long as the buyer takes that into consideration, would sit in the shed and occasionally be useful.
13. Love the description!!! However, never touch the long screw bolt thingy on draw bar! Never mess with the linkage unless new shoes/drums/cables have been fitted!
14. They look the same add fitted to the Laski/Predator grinders. Get a price from the Predator people at Henly on Thames.
15. PeteB

How.

Hmm, my thoughts exackerly! Maybe four figures....
16. A woodchippers is, effectively, a fully loaded trailer. Far to many people ignore the maintenance of the braking system, and the wheels and hubs. One hot wheel could be a sign of poor bearings, a damaged cable not letting a brake off, or even misalignment from axle damage.
17. Phone TW on Monday morning or put your post into the TW technical section.
18. Wise words!
19. Big ask! Good luck with your search!
20.
Yes thanks, in a less touristy area with farmhouse food and the noise of goats, sheep, chickens, trkeys and yapping dogs mixed in with the sound of surf! 29 during the day 20 plus at night! Mythos beer is cold too! On the coast south of Skaloti on the south closer to Africa! Had to come through the Imbros gorge again in the dark again. What a ride! Of skinny dipping today! You lot okay?

21. Do that and impound the vehicles means that they have to stay! They will then scream victimisation of a minority group etc!
22. Good find Dan, best way to demostrate a situation!
23. I'd look at this route too (sorry about the pun!). Or, ring a few grinder suppliers and ask who has what etc, get something fairly substantial, and try to make life easier!
24. You tried Acaia Ground care Machinery Rental? Or APlant at Ford?
25. Get up there Richy! You would benefit from the trip both in the acquisition and the meeting of Tom!
