Hi, we have had several machines come through our doors which have had all kinds of metal including scaffold poles, railway clips etc. check out the shredder video on our website Untitled Document This is the new PTO version of the trailed and tracked machines already available to hire or buy from ourselves. Like its road-tow and tracked counterparts, the PTO S426 will handle a variety of materials, including greenwaste (brash, prunings, hedge trimmings, Leylandii, rootballs and Christmas trees), pallets, doors, chipboard, ply, cardboard and uPVC plastics, with a throughput of up to 3 tonnes per hour. Unlike a chipper, it will tolerate nails, screws, small metallic items (locks, hinges), stones and lumps of concrete up to fist size. As far as your blades are concerned, I agree with all the other comments above. its not worth it on H&S grounds. Barry 0797 333 0505

Maybe a couple of ideas. Firstly a Boxer mini skid steer machine to grab the brash and remove away from site. small, low ground pressure, very easy to use, 50 + attachments and would be good in ancient woodlands. then Put it through a TWS426 roadtowed shredder of which we sell or hire. We have ex demo/hire roadtow TWS426 machines from £14k+ vat. New £20,125+ vat. or Timberwolf have just launched the new TWPTOS426 which is a PTO driven shredder with 17" x 9" infeed and requires 80hp+ at PTO shaft. This will handle contaminated timber/ brash without damage to blades etc as it utilises hammers. Price to buy: PTO £16,575 + vat or can be hired. We are getting one very soon, Let me know if you require a demo/hire. regards, Baz 0797 333 0505 [email protected]

Timberwolf TW150TR nicked from Goole. Year 2003 with 600+ hours on it. Machine serial number is 20305032. engine number is 2W6059. This was a customers machine and has some distinguishing features: The side panel on the engine box on the left as you face the infeed hopper can only be fitted upside down. so the writing on the side will be upside down. They fitted a combination Ball and tow hitch to the machine which wasnt fabricated very well. also the no stress device was not working. Police have been informed by the customer. If anyone hears or sees anything please let me know. If anyone is thinking this wont happen to me, please think carefully about your security of machinery. Big slavering dogs, huge chains, blocked in by vans , trucks ,etc dont seem to be working very well to stop these "thieves" nicking your stuff. Make sure your insurance covers a "woodchipper" and not a trailer, Fit a decent security lock such as those offered by Lincmaster and if it was my gear i`d also look seriously at fitting a quality satellite tracking system that has been tried and tested on chippers, for if....when it goes. We are agents for both systems. let me know if I can help. Baz 0797 333 0505

I concur with Pete B andTractor 10 about usage of Original Blades. If you heard the blade hit the back of the truck just imagine what would have happened if you had the chute pointing elsewhere!!! or Ive even heard of blades shattering and coming through the housings!! Itll be like being hit by shrapnell if it gets you or someone else....is it really worth it????

The Price of the machines range from £8k to £15,800. We have some demo units available if you are interested? As with all track machines, if you are careful and know how to drive both tracks at the same time when turning etc then you shouldnt have any problem turning on sensitive ground. Tracked is always better than wheeled and even tracks over wheels, due to the stability of the machine and load. Its the fact that they are small in height, light in weight, yet bags of power and carrying/working capacity that make these machines so brilliant. There is also a remote control machine available so you dont even have to go near the machine. It tips into a skip (unlike some of into competitors) and is one of those machines that once you try it you start to wonder which of your other tough applications it could do .. and as others have pointed out.. save your back , time and your money! We have 300, 400 and 500 series machines with attachments for hire and sale from our 5 depots nationwide. Baz 0797 333 0505

Hi Guys, I get asked a lot for differing machinery over and above the chippers, stump grinders, log splitters and access platforms that we hire/sell etc. One of the best machines on the market which has over 50 different attachments including stump grinders, flail mower, post knocker, log splitter, grapple bucket and yes even a chipper attachment, is the Boxer Mini skid steer. Check out the Video from Compact power to see how this machine is taking "utilization" to another level. Sorry for the "americanisms" but I bet you cant resist copying the commentators "Boxer" statement after you watch it through. We are experiencing a lot of requests for hire as well as sales and if you have any suggestions as to other attachments that can be made for the machines, please let me know. If you want a free demo or free days use again, let me know. enjoy http://www.boxerequipment.com/videoBoxer/Boxer_promo_300.htm Baz 0797 333 0505 [email protected]

The bearings whilst readily available should be fitted by a trained chipper technician. We see lots of people who buy the bearings from ourselves or other sources ,fit them themselves or by a "trained mechanic" who come back to us after about a month looking to have them replaced and balanced properly. Anyone can fit bearings but its the specialist knowledge, technicians and tools that we have available that gives us our motto below, if I can help ring me on 01423 359777 for further advice

Harness` are notoriously bad to predict which one suits you. as everyones body styles, sizes and techniques are different. Best advice is to ring Craig at Trees unlimited on 0113 229 6006 or go into his shop in Leeds and swing on the ones in his "interactive " shop. If in scotland ring James at Wm Clark & Son Parkgate Dumfries DG1 3NB 01387 860241 http://www.clark-engineering.com

Unless he bought if from me , he paid too much. Usually colleges like the TW150DHB or even the TW190DH due to its better access to the blade system. we regularly have guys with older TW125 machines who have had them up to 7 years old without a hitch. It depends on the maintenance regime of the owner of the machine very much. A well looked after machine makes a happy contented owner.

Stolen timeberwolf tw150 dhb seriel number 206143062-a1
bazbro replied to tobyowles's topic in Stolen Equipment
Toby, Ive checked the machine serial number through Orange Plant system and there has been no mention of this machine up until now. If I hear of anything I will let you know. If you are looking for hire or replacement in mean time let me know. regards, Baz 0797 333 0505 -
Hi MesterH, Just a quick reply to your points made. As you say, these are my own opinions and not of Timberwolf ,Orange plant or anyone else. Point 1:The discharge chute: Depends on how old your model of 190 is. If you take the discharge chute off completely, clean out the inset where the chute sits and give it a bit of grease, replace the chute and you should have an easier turning shoot. Putting anothe bar on could lead to rusting around joints and I have seen some models with handles on chutes missing completely due to the force of the operatives. point 2: Anvils, you must maintain the anvil and if it starts to round off the replace immediately, anvils either singularly or in sets are available on our website http://www.timberwolfparts.com . point 3: feed control buttons: On the new shredder the feed control buttons are on the side of the hopper and agree with you that it is an easier action rather than reaching to the top of the hopper. Ill pass on your comments to timberwolf and let you know what they say. hope this helps. Baz

Hi Guys, (Tom, are you in Abbey St Bathans? I used to live there and my dad was head forester for a while. small world.) How about a suggestion of Drymen show to stage the scotland get together.? its on saturday 30th May 2009 follow this link: http://www.drymenshow.com/ its a very well supported show as we were there last year and as you can see the weather was superb. There are some big trees at the back of the arena which im sure we could utilise for a bit of climbing etc. The infrastucture of the show would be there with events, BEER and FOOD already going on. a great day out for families too(that might get bored talking trees and climbing) . Its location is at the foot of Loch Lomond so its easy to get to from all areas. Im planning to ask the organisers if it would be viable. what you reckon?? want me to ask? Baz

Pete, sorry to hear about your loss. send me the serial numbers and ill make sure our depots watch out for any machines coming our way. If I hear or see anything Ill let you know. Baz
