    The X540 uses a liquid cooled Kawasaki engine which is more than the model required but John Deere couldnt refuse to use the engines when they were offered them. It has a strong chassis with cast iron axles, power steering and power deck lift, cruise control and a very smooth twin touch hydrostatic drive. Large width rear tyres for excellent climbing of slopes. really easy to use with a 48 or 54 deck. John Deere have introduced the X590 as the x540 replacement and it comes with electronic fuel injection with a constant speed governor which works to increase torque under load. The mower blade-tip speed remain constant, even in heavy-grass conditions, to improve the grass cutting. Its the first fuel injected mower in the consumer market and has fly by wire throttle without choke. We are doing a special offer on x540 with 48 or 54 deck for £5200 + VAT. x590 with 48 or 54 deck £5495 + vat. hope this helps. Baz

    Timberwolf TW150DHB 2004 1300hrs Shotblasted and repainted back to TW Orange colour as it was Green!! Bearings etc were done last June by previous owner. It has a disc underneath the deck with swing tip blades instead of a single blade that is liable to damage if you hit anything whilst mowing.     Hi Guys, I'm looking at the purchase of a professional quality Quadcopter with built in 4K quality camera and wondered if anyone would be interested in using these height type of video / images to market your websites etc. It's just an idea at the minute to combine a hobby / income stream.     This isnt a 48" deck but the Orec Rabbit is a ride on that will tackle anything it can push over. We had a contractor ask recently to hire one of these from us as he had a job to strim grass and had budgeted 2 days with 2 guys strimming. He took the Orec and had it back to us in less than 4 hours. It is a phenomenal climber as per this video.

    We are holding a John Deere Gator Experience day on 17th March at Crosshills nr Keighley. Its a FREE event with the opportunity to ride and drive several models including the 825i petrol with a racing engine that sounds amazing and does 45mph. We will also have Supatracks coming to demonstrate their tracked version. check out this for a taster..     There is No price confirmed yet for the TW280 so a bit presumptuous on the pricing and it will be better than the TW190 that it replaces...and that model has been a fantastic seller.

    Hi Guys, I Thought you would like to know that we are holding a two day show at the Yorkshire Event Centre in Harrogate on 7th and 8th of January 2015. This is where the Great Yorkshire Show is held every year and if you have been to that show you will know that it has a large Forestry arena with climbing poles etc. We are holding demonstrations of Timberwolf chippers and Truncator sawhorse. A FREE challenging off road driving course using Land Rovers and John Deere Gators outside of the halls. We will be displaying many new ideas and products inside both halls including Stihl, Workware, etc. Ive uploaded a flyer for you. The magic words are that the event is FREE and there is FREE food throughout the day with ticketless entry, just turn up and enjoy a chance to win in the raffle. regards, Baz

    See if you can get an Orec rabbit mower where you are. Im not sure about the Vanguard you mention but the Orec has an 18hp Vanguard engine. If you were in North Yorkshire I could demo ours. check out this video. [ame] [/ame] TB

    we knew a guy who tried to hit one with a Mattock and the adder wrapped itself around it so that when he lifted the mattock up again... it was hissing at him above his head...stupid boy!

    Heard this on local news today. BBC News - Doncaster man bitten by adder three times in Dalby Forest anybody got any experience of Adders? We used to see them all the time whilst working in Kyloe woods near Holy Island in Northumberland.

    I sold a few of these when I worked in Scotland. A very good machine as long as you don't get an idiot shovelling gravel into it. I believe it used to have a trailer as an option, so you could tow it around.

    You wouldn`t get a decent road towable wood chipper for your budget. When I started out many moons ago (steady Now!) I hired once a week until it grew until I could justify buying my first machine. looking back, I would have looked at financing a decent machine and preserved my precious cashflow. Use your "budget" to get a decent twin feed roller such as the TW125PH and in the words of a great friend and former colleague, David Orange...work will find you. Baz
