What's new?? I got your rant at troll as the pot calling the kettle black....
  3. Follow hodges advice ... If that's not how you have drawn up your £180 price.
  4. Pfanner protos 23 SNR ...my ears feel like bleeding every time I get busy with a saw or near a chipper if you forget your ear plugs. Emailed them about an upgrade and nothing ...
  5. I would pay not over £1500 but then I guess it's down to how much you need or want it ... They are not bad chippers used them at numerous times over the years the last one around 7 years ago as a main machine before I got a gravely and it felt an out dated and abused machine back then a far cry from the ones I used in the 90's.. Still a bread and butter machine at the end of the day and I would prefer one over a vermeer 625 for sure which off the top of my head is all I can compare it with, tw150 is on a different level ...Lister petter are pretty bomb proof though.
  6. Love the steps 👍 great idea
  7. Ok mate send us a bill and I will have a box of spares, shame It felt like a top end seize... Really gutted.
  8. Any email I have sent in the past has been replied with contact your local dealer... That was when I wanted to know if my 560 was covered for sucking in its crank gasket and never got a straight answer... Although it must of been a recognised fault as the new saws have more bolts and redesigned casing. It really is frustrating although my dealings with stihl have been about the same or worse but on face of the actual arogance that there product is superior. On the subject of the 540 mines been fine one new bar and a mate replaced the spring on Friday as he had a spare one... Mines an old saw now over a year so I'm surprised it's lasted this long but I make a point of catching it on the strop and hooking it up on the harness , but at £10 a pop that is a joke!! They should be virtually giving them to 540 owners if it's a recognised fault and been redesigned.
  9. Giving us a bill like that has just given Farage the keys to number 10.
  10. Criminal damage and trespass are going through my mind as well, yes do what the client wants but at the end of the day that was not the clients tree and look at it now... I would be more than livid if I came home and some one had done that to my tree... I would do every thing possible to sue you and the neighbour if you did it.
  11. The guy got soul though. Enjoyed that tim.
  12. Oh.... That's not good !!
  13. Not much that already has.
  14. Looking forward to this Steve ,no pressure mate 😄
  15. My dog loves the stuff as well, quite handy for spills on clients patios.
  16. That's a shame ,I have made a lot of deals ,trades swaps and been given and given away things on this forum with only good experiences but I personally would rather know who to avoid but obviously due to legal reasons naming and shaming is not allowed but its a shame there ip address can not be banned though, I don't like to be surrounded by untrust worthy people and probably why I find myself posting less these days.
  17. If your only running 12mm double braid it will be fine, personally I would start at 14mm for rigging lines unless your intending to use it for only light rigging. Slack issues would only become a problem with big lumps that 12mm would be killed on IMO so the 2001 is not a bad choice ,You can still get a lot of slack out the system once your familiar with it and I found 2001 more superior than ports wrap style devices for lowering with ease of use ability to hold and run wood. I use a 3001 and and its a heavy bit of kit, comes in to its own with big rigging though and a porter wrap for light stuff.
  18. This one??
  19. Or Rambo 3 on the mega drive.
  20. Cod World at war for me.

Really enjoyed that showed some stunning locations on monster trees, good work and great tune!what do you recon to the rigging rings reg ?
  23. New 201 is supposed to be a different machine ... Are one is pretty rubbish in comparison to a 540 it is gutless but I hear the new version 201 has uprated carb fly wheel and ignition making it a different saw. 200t had its problems that never got solved .... People forget that reminiscing what a great tool they where when available off the shelf.
  24. Or there's the dolmar !! I would seriously consider one of these as well.
  25. I would skip the 441 and go straight to the 461 unless your on a budget, then Its the husky 365. Have nothing bad about the 441 to say although it does not have great rep from some users and some say it's bulky but if you like the ergonomics then it could be the saw for you I'm using the legendary 460's as go to 70cc saws and I hate them !!! the vibes are terrible ,seriously the worse on any saw I have used which is a shame as its a strong reliable saw and I'm told the 461 compliments its older brothers traits as a top saw and straightens out this weak point so it's worth considering for sure. I personally would get a 576xp but if the stihls feeling good in your hands it's the choice for you.
