i tend not to use step cuts when lifting stem sections, i usually just cut straight through as it reduces the chances of the sudden bounce you got at 2.50ish as the step cuts suddenly releases wear a decent pair of leather rigging gloves to get the most out of the grcs. im on my second pair of these, not the cheapest but pretty good Sailing Gloves ive never used the additional fixed bollard, always just rigged onto the winch. maybe if i was dropping heavy heavy stem sections with a 19mm rope i would but anything with a 16mm line id just drop onto the winch have you tried pulling slack in as a piece goes over then letting it run, great sound a very effective

imo this should be addressed at the quote stage -
better than my TW, higher output, easier to feed, better designed in terms of maintenance, vertical rollers are far better than horizontal it seems like they have really thought about it from design to manufacture around 16k

the problem is rob, is that you fancy a disco, this ones popped up and seems affordable albeit with a bit of work needed i made the a mistake a few years back on a chipper, i was to keen, and really wanted it and it cost me 2k which i never got back. now this situation isnt identical but i wanted that chipper as much as you fancy that disco save the cash or put it towards a chipper
