  1. is that a bit of an exageration tony, if we said youd worked on 100000 trees over your 25yr career that would mean you had worked on 10.95 trees every day a year without stopping. you said yourself that that lawsons took one and a half days

  4. looking through some old quotes this evening, got me to thinking what % of accepted quotes you are happy with/aim for over the last 3 months ive had an acceptance rate of roughly 74%, im pretty pleased with that and im not sure i could handle much more without being booked 3-4 months in advance or running 2 teams

  6. i like having the ability to do stumps if needed, bigger stumps go to stump busters as i find large stumps are a pain to do and are incredibly mundane plus i cant get near stump busters on price (£2+Vat per inch) i own 3 grinders and my biggest (carlton 2500-04) will be going up for sale soon as i havnt used it since the first week of january
  7. interesting i charged the battery up and the clutch/cutter head engaged. i was wondering if low power would struggle to engage the clutch

  11. hmmm morning at the yard needed i think. who did you use for parts johny?
  12. that could be the case.... but the cutter head isnt engaging at all. do you think if the battery was flat that would cause the clutch to not engage properly? as we had to jump start the machine to get it running

  14. Gorilla tub when moving fro Lock box to truck, and truck to tree. Tub then doubles as rope storage whilst in use

  19. black diamond bag wont they are designed to be dragged up rockfaces, a far harsher environment than being carried from a truck to a tree and chucked back into the truck laterthat day

  22. its quicker and easier and cheaper for me to take timber away, unless the customer wants to keep it in the sizes that id move it with my loader

  24. i wouldnt bother with a cordless, they dont hold charge for long enough ive got a diamond disk in a standard angle grinder and tend to touch up cutters before leaving the yard. im on greenteeth so have the option to turn twice on site (makita impact driver and socket set in truck )
  25. the 2 bolts arnt that awkward if you remove the roller springs lift up the rollers and place a wedge of wood to keep the rollers out the way. its the work of a moment
