  1. its not so much about falling and landing on your head, its what falls and lands on your head...
  2. turn up on time, do what your asked(within reason), dont smash anything and go home. dont bitch or moan and do everything to the best of your ability. if its early starts to be onsite for a certain time then its ur descision to be there so dont moan about it, if you dont like it move on and finally, enjoy it

  8. That's a bit negative don't you think gerit? At the least it could give an idea of at least 2 species it could be, enabling future research of both possibilities
  9. I've got a Marlow 12mm double braid line, it's very grippy which is great for lifting with my grcs but eats good quality rigging gloves for fun as its so grippy. Seems to glaze pretty easy as well
  10. Great to catch up with mates at the first show of the year. However poor show in my opinion and if my primary objective wasnt catching up with mates id have to seriously consider wether to attend next year. What was the score with the two fields thing? Probably one of the daftest moves by the organisers ever I can't see how long the show will continue to run for if this is going to be the standard from now on
  11. there are various peaks and dropoffs. drop offs indicating decay and high peaks indicating areas of very hard deadwood. the tree was drilled at 4 points n,s,e,w, and all at a height of 10cm personally im dubious of the intensions of the survey
  12. measurement height was 10 cm, dbh was 105cmmm and depth was 39.8cm
  13. as above ive got some resistograph printouts from an Oak ive been to look at, ive little experience with the resistograph and im trying to work out what the results are really saying. ive contacted the company who undertook the survey, who have so far been less than helpfull. the trees owners put in at app to fell the tree on the basis of the results ,but the LA responded that there was insufficient explanation of the results to warrant felling does anybody have any information regarding interpretation of resistograph results
  14. Standardised layout, then Cut and paste the appropriate stuff. Easy peasy

  19. My Mazda single cab has been awesome, w reg bought it for 3.5k with 100k on it, I've put 50k on it in the last 4 years. It didn't have a service for the first 30k. It gets serviced once a year now and gets fixed when it needs it. It's had new shocks, leaf springs and a rear diff but for the work it does and has done I think that's pretty good. I basically built my business with it before i bought my tipper and will never sell it as it's so handy useful I subbed plenty in mine and you can easily get climbing saw, big saw rigging and climbing kits in the passenger seat/footwell It tows my timberwolf ok, but struggles with heavier stuff a bit as it's non turbo Awesome truck, I'd by another tomorrow
  20. haha good video rob. i love the bit when the music stops as the loaders moving the loader is aboxer 427
  21. blue tongue is far easier to grip in the wet than tachyon. i had the misfortune to climb on a hank of tachyon in the rain a couple of weeks ago, decended and came back up with an old hank of arbormaster
