  1. begining of cupboard door flapping from a compression fork
  2. but then you risk having to go back over it, sorting growth points youve damaged
  3. i paid 9 all in for mine with bucket, grab bucket and pallet forks(essential imo for moving decent sized pieces of wood) its second hand with 305hrs on it the 427 is a petrol machine yeah you can get a grinder attachment, but dont know what its like im sure you could get it on the back of a transit with some decent ramps boxer uk by all accounts they are like chickens teeth second hand i probably owe him a few beers:001_tongue:
  4. maybe something like this LOGSTER ATV TIMBER TRAILER forestry chainsaw tree surgery quad trailer firewood | eBay
  5. not wanting to derail the other thread to much with talk about loaders etc, heres a thread to blether on about them obviously theres a few choices but i went for a boxer 427, and frankly i wouldnt consider doing dismantles without it now it weighs roughly a ton, has a width of 44 inches and can lift roughly 72 inches in hieght. it can pick up about 3/4 of a ton, slightly more with 3 guys hanging off the back:sneaky2:
  6. i take 3 sheets of 3/4 inch ply with me to track over sensitive areas or to take sharp turns on. although it weighs a ton it has fairly low ground pressure on account of the wide tracks in terms of climbers, we are a two man team with a part time 3rd man when needed. we tend to stack from the tree where possible if we are both climbing. mess always looks worse than it actually is
  7. well youve got to break a couple of eggs to make an omelette... i actually liftedit over the fence hieght to get round the corner:001_tongue:
  8. i run with 2 climbers, we knock out reductions in half the time and chip up together. that way theres nobody standing around and your climbing for half the time with my mini loader we can shift timber quick and save on clearing up sawdust no other companys round my way work this way who has the advantage?
  9. Well that's different isn't it!! I had my last treemotion for 3 years, I'm pretty sure I can justify the 35p a day it cost me
  10. I never understand comments like this?
  11. often wondered wether theyed be any good for treework
  12. we had to move some small bits of oak the other day... it wasnt much fun
  13. maccy removal and dead goat willow propped on shed and in conifer ( was standing when i quoted 2 months ago) and eucalyptus reduction (no pic) took most of the weight of then winched it over with the grcs with a block at the top of the maccy stem loader makes shifting the wood easy all chip stayed on site
  14. looked like a bent bar was nearly on the cards for the last cut
  15. The Isuzu will carry more legally than a transit
  16. he wasnt able to climb it, it was being done with a polesaw
  17. We had a 5 night stag do in the dam a few years ago, it was messy to say the least
  18. bags are a nightmare, a cube or similar is the way to go
  19. ive got a makita impact wrench which i use after ive loosened them slightly with a bar/socket
