  1. what about if theres just 1?. its a struggle to push my quadchip up the gentle incline into my lockup with 2 guys i doubt a a530t tracked machine is in the budget
  2. ive considered the grapple, but apart from being able to drag brash out i cant really see the advantage of it over a set of pallet forks. plus they are quite expensive i think

  4. removed a conny hedge yesterday and ground the stumps. back today with a small machine and replanted with Grisillinia. tricky working around fencing contractors but the timescale for the works was tight. people are stoked with the end result. back in a couple of weeks to crown reduce a maccy

  8. the kanga has a real poor lifting capacity mate. my boxer 427 lifts about 750kg and still doesnt feel enough

  14. 50m and just leave what you don't need in the bag, I like a long rope so I can redirect my system when I've finished working 1 side of the tree without having to climb all the way up to my tie in point
  15. ive been using the Teufelberger Patron Tree Access Rope it seems ok to me and is cheaper than the Teufelberger Globe 5000 for the footlocking and srt i do its just fine

  24. thanks mate, Ive never climbed on a rope wrench, thought about getting one at the APF but for me they seem to be a solution to a problem that doesnt realy exist (for me anyway) As far as i can see, the main benefit apart from ascending and the ability to work whilst ascending is not having friction when you redirect. I find a well planned climb solves the problem and if i have to redirect to get to a section il install one that can be retrieved when i retrieve my rope guide and make sure thats my last station before i descend
