    boxer/GRCS combo is sweet. the ability to pull large pieces while lowering them really opens up options and saves messing around having to lower small stuff that you can pull with a tag line by hand. also makes long pulls achievable customer wanted the tree started before i went to NZ, but was happy to wait for it to be finished yeah 660 isuzu nkr and unimog 1200

    started this Oak removal in november of last year, we did half a day on it then went back to it yesterday to finish it off. It was a solid 4ft at the base and was causing damage to the stables below. Interesting removal, plenty of rigging over the stables and crashed out as much as we could onto the waste ground on one side. used the boxer to control the tag line and pull stuff over the roof as it was lowered with the GRCS. Felled the stem with a tirfor winch and left it where it fell. all brash and cord in the waste ground was stacked in habitat piles and larger timber was left where it landed

    personally id be very carefull and wary giving advice like that, especially not knowing 100% of the facts

    You don't need 2 carabiners, a dmm boa is large enough The other point is that he is a beginner, start at the beginning, learn the basics and advance when ability allows, he doesn't have to be a srtwpblahblahblah convert from the word go Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    Why complicate things, cheap harness, 4 carabiners 2 prusicks and a cheap rope.     why is 1 truck an issue? plan larger dismantles to get the brash off in day 1 and timber on day 2 or put the loader on the back of the truck and tow the chipper

    if you worked without a chipper it would make you apreciate it when you eventually got one, you tripped up before with finance you couldnt manage, why make the same mistake again? or are you after the image? get some work in the diary a reputation and earn what you need to buy more equipment

    tony why dont you just buy a cheap pickup (nothing flash), a ground saw an 020 and get going? im not sure why you need loans??? I suppose it depends how much you want it though, talks cheap

    my ascenders are used on an almost daily basis footlocking a doubled line, ive never noticed any glazing issue but there is certainly wear on the plastic handles

    For me srwp solves a problem that doesn't exist. I have tried it and there is no benefit for me, as i found a well planned climb eliminates friction. It seems to me that people need to use redirects when using swrp for tip pruning as you dont have the mechanical advantage to pull your self back in when climbing on very small diameter stuff.redirects are now a necessity to carry out the work As mentioned I use srt for access when needed but mostly footlock with ascenders

    agreed, i think people have created a problem that doesnt really exist i do use srt or footlock for access

    small pine removal over an imaculately maintained and well loved garden. heavy leaner towards the house, climbed and rigged the top down the lifted the stem backwards with the GRCS.

    sign writing isnt important at first, a you can get a clean mazda/ford ranger for less than 3k
