  1. Great pics, and a great thread
  2. Mines just receeding mate, give me a hug big man
  3. How about using the 5-6k you have or even a proportion of it as a deposit towards a vehicle that will do what you want. A Land rover in that price range will need constant work to keep usuable. Is it feasible to get a transit or similar and use some of the money to improve access to your yard ?
  4. I'd love to nit pick Andy but i fear you haven't enough hair to hide any
  5. Not really as he says once completed new barracks are handed over to one of several facilities managment companies. All of whom have allready been mentioned lol Bottom line is if you want to work on MOD land contact Sodexho, Landmarc, or (one that i forgot) Atkins although i believe they mainly handle new builds and ground maintenance contracts. ------------ Dave your isn't a 'real' land rover lol Can't wait to see your shiny Disco 4 pics though
  6. Just because your a landy hater lol ;-)

Ha ha, the very reason Casper stopped posting on here was I believe because he got castigated over the lime thread ! It might have been at the tree house but I'm pretty sure it was here. Dave, Casper big headed ? surely not lol !!!

He now works for MonkeyD off of here.
  9. I think you'll find that's a WOLF Land Rover and not a Jeep mate The apparent 'messing' about while recovering the vehicle is because situations like that are used for trainning. We'd probably all just much in and roll it back on it's feet lol. I worked for Defense Estates direct and LANDMARC Support Services. It's not hard to get into but you need to know the right people and get on their tender lists. Loads of small to large tree surgery companies do Arb work on MOD property but will be working either direct for Defense Estates or through one of the companies allready mentioned as sub-contractors. Landmarc look after the trainning areas which is where the real money is, they have a budget from the MOD for works that Landmarc suggest need carrying out. They facility manage the trainning estate for a set annual fee to the MOD the MOD then pay for all the work through Landmarc. Landmarc are part of a joint venture with interserve who are a global facilities mangement concern.
  10. I never made more than 22% net profit in 7 years of business. The reason the big companies can't operate on lower net profits is because they trade on turnover. In simple terms if you have poop loads of money coming in the banks etc. will lend you money to expand and for operating capital.

You'll make Casper's head grow lol
  12. ALL MOD Land is run by Sodexho and LANDMARC Andy, some sub-contract certain aspects. I'm talking about Landscaping and Tree works before my 'knowledge' gets thundered into the ground as per usual.
  13. What Ed said, I've worked for Defense trainning estates for years. You stand no chance of getting work with them direct. As for the other enquiry I'm not about to give away hard earned info on who to speak to lol !! That knowledege has taken ten years to accumalate. Good luck with it ! Brian Roscoe, PM me as your in Hampshire I'll help you out, that used to be my old stomping ground
  14. Far to dodgy for you to use the Bob ;-)
  15. Rodger that, it was a protest ride against N Wales Polices policy on bikes. They reckon 10,000 bikes turned up. There was no problems at all and it was the biggest motorbike protest in 20 years in this country proving people will only be pushed so far. Google Motor Cycle News to read about it if your interested as I'm not about to turn your thread into a biking debate lol ;-)
  16. I walk the dog there by the river in Betws all the time. Lovely spot. Didn't get caught up in motorbike mayhem in Betws on Sunday then Reg ?
  17. A countryside management course by any chance ? There are a few guys on here based in that area so good luck ! Are you after paid work or is it a work placement ?
  18. I used to hire that from Coppards, I think we took it from brand new.

    The barsteward.

Looks like near the river at Sheperton to me, I'd have stacked all the waste in the garden for a week 'until my chipper was fixed' ;-) What an idiot.
