  1. Cheers mate, have you delivered to Church Close in Carhampton before ? Don't want to pass on your details if they have used you before lol
  2. My parents live in Carhampton, do you supply logs mate as i know there are after some ?
  3. **** lol, yes it was a nightmare Stevie, i didn't do alot of the dragging i was chipping and driving the unimog hence having to get Stu in to do some climbing. The groundies, Anna, Mark and Casper (who now works with Monkeyd) had a hell of a time !
  4. That's about what i thought 1500.00 a day, that will be including transport and diesel with a minimum of one days work no doubt.
  5. The surface may appear as a 'rotavated field' allbeit a very woody one ! But underneath you will find large lumps. For a site such as your that is going to be used as a cemetary i would say your best option is to land rake the site pulling out all the stumps and windrowing it. I would then have an excavator working permenantly with the mulcher. Be aware multiple passess will be very expensive, if you get a mulcher to quote tell them you'll be looking at multiple passess otherwise you may have a nasty shock in terms of increased cost when you ask them to go over the site again. Like Ed if you can burn i would be looking at that as a viable option. What is the finished spec ? I'm imagining it's going to have to be a pretty clean site ? Cost wise i'd say you'd be looking upwards of 750.00 a day + VAT for a tracked mulcher like the RT400 + transport and maybe even + diesel depending on the company.
  6. Just watched this again, the last time was when this thread was originally started. Words can't describe that job, awesome...
  7. Great link Stuart, thanks, and about time to HSE
  8. I did the same but wasn't stupid enough to post it
  9. How about no climbing only MEWPS or maybe fell them first then work on them on the ground ? Or what about a chain mail suit ?
  10. Buzz

    need a job

I appreciate your obviously all friends, BUT a well though out correctly punctuated and non text speak post is far more likely to get some response. How about starting a new thread entitiled 'Enthusiastic Beginner seeks work experience in Somerset' ? Look through the Yellow Pages and write to every tree surgeon in the area. Good luck with your hunt.
  11. One name, two words, Pete McShiffty
  12. One other point i would add in the Landrovers favour is that the depreciation is the lowest of almost any other vehicle on the road. Having re-read your intial post i don't really think a landrover is what you need though mate.
  13. Lol Charlie ! I've had a 130 so badly cross axled you could walk underneath it, all be it slightly crounched !! The body twisted rather nicely, you couldn't even shut the doors lol. Dave, if you need a vehicle that'll tow 3.5 ton anywhere then you can't go wrong. If you need a vehicle that will perform off road and be cheap to repair when the enivitable LA dents get put in it then you can't go wrong. However from what you describe in your first post i think the LA's money will be better spent eleswhere.
  14. Sounds like a right bad day out ! Thieving scum bags ! Chances are though they won't risk coming back to your place.
  15. Crikey, not on The Moss with horses I doubt, must have been in one of the wooded blocks.
  16. Nice looking work there Mike !
  17. Looks a Suffolk Punch to me, compact and powerful my family used them on the canals.
  18. Defenders are perfectly acceptable in the front comfort wise. Great if like me you have a bad back. The rear however is a different story.
  19. Sorry poor typing on my iPhone but you get the gist of it !
  20. FWIW I ran a brand new 110 double cab for 3 years. Carried all the kit we needed in the back for 3 men. A brand new 130 tipper will be stupidly expensive. When I worked forthw council we ran the exclusivley an very few problems. Best bet is to get one on trial or hire one in from SHB and see how you get on. Casper went in my 110 double cab a few time I think.
  21. It's not pre-production the product is for sale. Buy one and then write a review I say.
  22. Why is it that some members 'Tim' feel the need to flame down any members that come up with a new product ? The guy has identified a hole in the Market for a new product, designed it paid for it and put it into production. The proof will be in the pudding which I'm sure he'll find out by the end of the show season next year. Critizing it without seeing it now it's at a production phase isn't far IMO when you haven't seen it in person. Good effort I say at a fair price and I hope it works for you.
