It's ok Matt his helmet was black allready !! Besides it was really the wheel on the skyline.

Says the man that's buttering him up for a new helmet which got accidently 'crushed' by moi in a 5 ton tractor lol
  5. With 'real' camera equipment i.e. new digital SLR's your far better going to a proper independent Camera shop. You'll get sensible help and advise, not everything is about price. If however your after a cheap point and shoot go for it. I still wouldn't deal with this fella as he doesn't seem to have much of a grasp on what he's doing lol
  6. *gritted teeth* Nice one Steve very smooth I like Stevie taking the pee half way through that
  7. You have truly become a wise man Marc...I wish i could have been bothered typingout a good post such as yours !
  8. How many trees out there have inclusions that never fail.. an awful bloomin lot i'd wager. A Hornbeam, fairly small that's grown in isolation will be fairly strong but heh what do i know lol
  9. What a cracking little thing ! I'm starting to come round to the idea of these little chippers
  10. He's allready highlighted that in his tree report Steve, he's already admitted there is a problem. He can't do nothing as Tony has pointed out but IMO a brace is better than felling a tree that will probably never fail. Difficult to tell without pictures.
  11. To be brutally honest mate the cable brace on a hornbeam is probably only going to be there to cover your backside. IMO re-inspection is the key here or dare i say it in this climate fell and replace. I personally don't like condeming trees for no good reason.
  12. Bollox mate i'm afraid, if you cut yourself and you can't get yourself out of the tree you've had it end of story. Bear that it mind constantly. It's amazing what a nasty cut you can get from a chainsaw turned off. I tripped over with a 254XP in my right hand on a forestry site. My left forearm came down on the saw chain. I ended up having eight stitches and that was through a Stihl jacket with the saw switched off !
  13. I'd recomend bracing and monitor every 6 months. Reduction is pointless in my opinion on a hornbeam with such a dense crown. A small cobra brace would be inexpensive and effective.
  14. Weren't you the guy on one of Dave Ridings sites with a black and decker saw ?
  15. Happens all to often i'm afraid, kick back into the neck most probably. My ex-girlfriend Anna lost a close friend last year in the same way. Thread is on here somewhere.
  16. And here he is looking soft !
  17. Oh dear oh dear lol ! I asked then hen about Environmental Risk Assesments but it didn't have a plucking clue. Peter, he was sitting right on my foot terrified...loads of chicks outside the office door as well so he's traumatised at the moment lol
  18. A couple of 8x4 sheets of ply and a tarp is the usual way mate ! Can't see the point of over complicating things. As SWB says you'll have no end of blockages with your idea.
  19. Yeah ditto to the others, i used to shift timber like it in Surrey all the time ! Providing the rig is legal, braked, and the load is strapped down you'll have no problems.
  20. Erm dare i ask what something like that cost you Stevie ? Step down from the Mog or step up ?
  21. Can't wait to read Stevie going through this he he, specially the theory test lol When i did my bike theory test the test centre was fully of little 17 year old girls bricking themselves it was hilarious. I guess you won't have to worry about that with HGV though LOL
  22. I want to do my HGV git Stevie lol
  23. Timber is actually to scared to walk past that chicken and he's got a cat stalking him from the other side !
  24. Pro-Tect Safety Signs - Road Traffic Signs, Road Signs, Warning Signs, Traffic Cones Just to clarify these are what you are talking about ? They have two plastic hoops on the back that slide over the cone. The best roadsigns I ever had were made of recycled plastic and were tough as old boots. Online Store Metal are a PITA and roll up / flexible ones just get trashed or stolen.
