Got my own, restricted O licence. Probably CPC exempt, but doing it anyway, some of the info is useful, drivers hours etc, and I am doing lorry loader and some other plant tickets and probably a first aid course that all count towards the 35 hours, so its not all wasted effort.

26t is fine if you dont want to get up driveways. My 18t is 4 metre wheelbase so its pretty manoeuvrable, plus twin rear axles will widen the turning circle unless you get a rear lift, and they aren't great off road. If you are going big then 32t on 4 axles is the biggest rigid you can run in the UK.

7.5 tonner with a crane is a waste of time, so little payload its virtually useless, I run an 18 tonner with crane, that has about a 10 tonne payload and it still gets overloaded.

The absence of a bottom stop bar is a big plus to me, eliminates most of the nuisance stops, ie brash being pulled in stopping the infeed.

Quad Chip for me. You can't really compare the two though, the TW is more comparable to the new GM150. QC has turntable and folding spout, both of which are useful for me. Servicing GM is easy, plus you dont have to replace bearings every 300 hours. Never needed any parts, other than a spring and I got that under warranty, resale value is a bit unknown as there are only a handful of Quad Chips been sold secondhand.

Yes, only the 10mm has the red cover strand.

8mm 10mm beeline are two different constructions, 8mm is a core dependant splice, 10mm is normal DB splice.
