  1. If your asking about converting a double cab to a king cab, then then it's a waste of time and money, trade it in for the vehicle you need.
  2. Really?! So wearing ppe means you can ignore safe working distances? And how exactly is a chainsaw jacket going to prevent cuts to hands?
  3. Yes..
  4. Thats a pretty good payload for a small truck. I take it you downrated it for driver licence reasons? It should be plated to tow 3.5 tonnes.
  5. Its not specifically mentioned in the letter, not 100% sure tbh. Although I should point out that its 4250kg, as in 3500 MAM vehicle towing 750kg MAM trailer or another combination as long as its within the towing capacity of the vehicle and trailer doesnt weigh more than towing vehicle.
  6. He should have made two so you'd have a spare.
  7. Minimum safe working distance for a chainsaw is 5 metres, or twice length of longest cut section, whichever is greater.
  8. Bundle of logs under the winch cable to give it a bit of lift too.
  9. Just get one of these.
  10. Can you get some pics of piston/ cylinder? If the damage isn't too extensive you may be able to clean up the cylinder and just fit a new piston.
  11. Those are just the before pics, Si is obviously building the suspense in a theatrical style.
  12. Sell it and buy a 3.5 tonner. Easy mistake to make with the dailys, at least you'll know to check the plate next time.
  13. That is correct, you could carry outrigger pads or harnesses for use in the basket for example. Same deal with mobile cranes, but a lorry with a lorry loader crane which carries timber or chip needs an o licence.
  14. Generally vehicles that do a job but don't carry a load are o license exempt. So as long as you don't load with with saws or anything not directly connected with the mewp you shouldn't need an o license.
  15. I need to buy some of that mooring line just to have a go at splicing it. Looks about 4" diameter, that's one hell of a bury!
  16. Some of that splicing is pretty incredible.
  17. Would have rather seen it with raw meat, I don't think it would have pulled like that. Good stuff though, that last cut was pretty full on.
  18. Yes, never fill it with the ram extended.
  19. To bleed it lower the tipper, crack the nut connecting the hose to the ram and press the tip button. If there is air in the hose it will bubble out. Tbh there will only be a tiny amount of air in there anyway, and it will get pushed out with continued use anyway. Is there a breather vent on your new tank to allow air in when tipping and out when lowering? Sounds like your new tank is too small.
  20. Velocity is 11mm, in my experience about the slimmest 11mm line on the market, if that makes any sense.
  21. Perhaps its the elusive 365XP.
  22. I'm not really doing subbie climbing any more, and my subbie climber is pretty busy too, sounds like Adam is your best bet.
  23. Rupe comes and goes. He'll be back in good time.
