Not sure if this best sits in here, or ‘Jokes’, or ‘pet peeves’, or ‘stoopid Facebook memes’, or maybe even somewhere else...?

So I’ll just float it out here for a hoot:C88911BA-C091-4272-87D9-9C19CB931399.jpeg.ce4adb563d03f181903f90a6372267de.jpeg

Hehe, rather like people kicking of about the government having access to emails etc, but same people go buy a Alexa or the like?

Bloody Hell, there would then be twice as many of them, some solution that!

What’s your long term plan for those without work Marcus? I’ve a terrible feeling you’re not considering this reality.
Sensible answers only please.

Hey up Mull, I spent last Saturday evening in Bury-St-Edmunds, needing a taxi home I walked through an affluent town to get to the rank on Sunday, the amount of people, (mostly English) that were begging was shocking. "We're" doing something really wrong somewhere. The long term plan for people without work?, not a clue. What's the long term plan for those who rent houses when they retire?

There are no sensible answers, that tick all the boxes, because providing decent care at an affordable cost for most of the truely homeless is an impossible task, especially if Government administered.

And who else is going to do it?

The Church(s) used to, but  .  .  .

I exclude those who fail to pay their rent, because they rather piss the Government provided rent money up against a wall.

There is simply a percentage of any population that cannot cope, due to psychiaric issues, addiction, etc etc.

How does society provide for them, without essentially locking them up, or somehow otherwise curtailing their freedom to ruin their lives ?

Or do you wish to provide them a bed in your home?

Regards

Marcus

Some difficult questions, would I want them?, no.

Should they be locked up for their own safety?, no.

Should the church look out to them?, don't know, never had anything to do with them.

I'm at a loss with it.

Just throwing this out there:

UK employment figures are at a record high - surely that represents a form of validation for current processes?

if we were to knock the 300k net annual immigration numbers on the head, after a couple of years there’d be work for all that wanted it...

Just saying loike, gotta be worth a punt ?
