Na torque converters aren't really designed for heavy pulling

Ok?

Why do trains, trucks, airport tugs cable haulers, log skidders, dozer' s and practically all machines that need to pull heavy things use torque converters then?

I also forgot all the automatic transmission practically ever built including your Valtra use a torque converter?

My Merlo in the pic is hydrostatic, not sure about the bigger machines/rotos etc though.

I know the manitous are. They don't like towing, and my tractor is. Its hopeless towing up a hill, just slows down to a crawl

Bringing the thread back to arbdiggers of sorts as apposed to arbloaders , can't decide if this is brilliant or a potential death trap

The lads were using ours to pull the tangled tops out a hedge before Christmas which saved a lot of cutting to separate the tops.DSC_0240.jpegDSC_0241.jpeg
