Can it use its full working envelope as a mewp, or is it sensor-limited? 
What model/weight shear are you nailing on, and what headstock setup? 
Can you tow with it? Great if you can load what you cut straight into a big trailer! Great if not too - that’s a wonderful mewp range for tree work!

It will be limited on sensors but effectively it's only the last yellow section on that load chart that's iffy for its capacity and has same capacity full 360 which some of the other models don't.
Standard merlo headstock and going westtech for the head, yes you can tow but as the whole thing is over 15 ton I'd say hills with anything more tha a light trailer with implement s in would be hard on it but need to check legality of this as not sure, would rather chip brash anyway but it could lift lid off our chip trailer on the tractor and load timber straight ontop.
Unless it's really a specific job that requires this methodology to meet sight constraints I wouldn't think you'd get a grand plus a day for this alone, we are too far north, with chipper etc yes but alone no.

Always had problems towing with telehandler gear boxes don’t seem up to day in out towing and they don’t like heavy trailers

I had to run this up the road yesterday and wouldn’t rush to make it a regular occurrence - the Merlo definitely isn’t designed for this type of work.

Na torque converters aren't really designed for heavy pulling but it's still be nice to get a nice light trailer, even a ifor to put one of the attachment on

Why do trains,trucks,airport tugs cable haulers,log skidders,dozer' s and practically all machines that need to pull heavy things use torque converters then?

 

I also forgot all the automatic transmission practically ever built including your Valtra use a torque converter?

 I don't think they are hydrostatic though

My Merlo in the pic is hydrostatic, not sure about the bigger machines/rotos etc though.

I know the manitous are. They don't like towing, and my tractor is. Its hopeless towing up a hill, just slows down to a crawl
