£52k a year in meds and you think your NI contribution will cover that for how long?

You’ve taken from the national purse for how long? while no doubt drawing a fecking great pension.

Beggars belief that people like this post.

It's called being part of a society. How about those of us that don't need meds and care ATM just thank our lucky stars as it could be us next time.

You're only a car shooting out of a give way away from ruin.

Excellent news.

Shirley, no reasonable person could argue that that isn't a good idea.

My hard earned paying to feed kids is a good use of tax imo.

Bloody watch me. Anything the state involves itself in goes wrong. The opposite of what’s intended usually happens. If they’re trying to feed people, more will starve. The cobra effect. Just watch. A year from now, scum parents will have worked out how to use the school meals money for scratchcards and scum catering contractors will have worked out how to use the school meals money for company Bentleys.

And now the Welsh government have decided that every primary school child in wales should have free school meals.  That will cost about the same as employing 2000 teachers.  And of course the pressure is on for the schools to also feed those kids in the holidays as well.

I dare say this will reach England eventually.  And some people are daft enough to think that children go to school to be taught stuff!

With all this money being spent in Wales, would it not be better for everyone if the Welsh just moved to Scotland?

That way Wales could become the UK's largest national park, plus the Jocks could do with a bit more depth to their gene pool.

But, all school children from all backgrounds, should be provided with a hot dinner when attending school. Those who work and pay their taxes are funding the meals anyway, and economies of scale should apply if all were provided for,

and hey! as beloved of those on the socialist side, zero discrimination.

Yes.

But termtime only.

are “van-lifers” part of society though?!

for some kids the school dinner is the only decent meal they’ll get, there’s much more to school than education.

Alex, Eggs, I’m being a bit presumptuous, but neither of you have kids?

“over here” spend about £100 a year in dentists, prescriptions, chiropractors, doctors etc and the rest is free.

(school dinners is obviously free too 😉)

It does wind me up seeing the amount of people that just breed thoughtlessly, no hope of actually affording or capably parenting these kids, with the expectation everything from housing to education will be provided for them, but I can't blame a child for that. A good hot balanced meal for every child would be one thing I wouldn't object to.

I resent that comment. I was thinking while I was breeding...lots of stuff

You don't count Steve, all those bitcoins, you're loaded!

What was on your mind anyway? For me it's russian tractors circa '80s or sometimes cleaning up dog sick.
