Ecological impact of covid lockdown

I'd be interested in peoples observations of the ecological impact of the lock down on the wildlife and the environment in general .Bird song certainly seems more apparent but perhaps this is due to the lack of back round noise . I've certainly noticed deer in fields I not noticed before . 

I'm looking forward to start diving once this is all over . Much less activity from the big trawlers and even scallop sites not have been picked .

On the last point - the trawlers have been running out of Oban throughout lockdown, and we have continued to see the shellfish arctics leave the village for France each week.

 

Otherwise I agree re increased wildlife etc - or maybe I am just noticing it more as there are less distractions?!

Round here, judging from what neighbours say, rear gardens are getting the treatment - looking better for attracting insects/birds judging. Others are DIYing under permitted development rules. Keeping busy locally so must be good

The roads and streets are not littered with tons of shit from McDonald’s which is nice...

Less Road kill about so Corvid's will suffer, already seen increase in bin  bags turned over by fox's or badgers near me.

There is more deer about ( scratching up the young trees )  because the Dutch clients can't get out of the country to come stalking .

I noticed loads more bug splats on my windsceen when I was last on the road. I suppose it's a numbers game.
