Thank you. Hopefully not just for comedic purposes!

Of course I agree critical thinking is valuable, the idea that it can become βsecond natureβ through repeated use oversimplifies the process imo. Critical thinking often requires conscious effortβwe canβt always be on guard, nor can we fact-check everything we encounter. In fact, over-reliance on skepticism can lead to βparalysis by analysis,β where people distrust information to the point where it only leads them to reinforce their own view. This is how modern politics/media is triumphing over the laymanβ¦.just sheer amounts of information which cannot possibly be fact checked at the time of delivery (depending on your appetite) leading people to run with their biases. We then fall fowl of a new age problem - people can no longer admit theyβre wrong!

Glad you got it sorted, one of my siblings has had stents fitted and has had 10+ years and is still going, sadly my father had one massive attack which he was never going to recover from. Hopefully you'll be back on your feet and getting fitter soon

Tide in at lunch so afternoon stroll along Charmouth beach with the old folk. Think I got to take a couple of calls about work too! Exploring a couple of job opportunities. Vat of curry to be made later for the old folks freezer. Did a large lasagne last night and they both had seconds which is a good sign.this followed by a couple of beers at Perry Street Club while the traditional local skittles teams played. Enjoy the day safely. Sin, Cos, Whim.

A mate has them in his freezer for the odd meal. Says they taste better shot in the autumn when their diet is more nuts and vegetable based than in the spring and summer when they predate a lot of birds eggs and baby birds

Hi all thanks for all your appreciated replies. I have a Husqvarna 550 XP mk 2 great saw, was wondering if there is bit lighter saw to use to cut the crooked cordwood, as at 74 the mind is more willing than the bodyπ

woody paul replied to Dodge's topic in Maintenance help
Just replace whole unit, my 150 played out about 4 years ago didn't get from timberwolf as said I needed to change whole setup with hydraulic manifold . Ring Parker hydraulics in Norfolk, supplied unit all you need is shorter bolts to fit. -

Anyone managed to fit a new battery to a set of ProComs yet?
Treeman123 replied to Chris Sheppard's topic in General chat
Yes I did it. Little screws to come out but it is possible. Found the same battery on ebay delivered from China. I had a problem where one set wouldn't charge so I thought it was the battery but it wasn't in the end. Cant find the picture of the battery to save my life! -

Nice work Stephen, thirty years ago all the old boys would bleat on about how tracks and trees didnβt work, how things have changed.π€ Bob

What makes the original such a classic is the brilliant script, so many quotable lines. Hereβs a great scene, I love the way the negotiator goes too far with the βweβll even throw in a Blaupunktβ line.
