  2. Ignore the great white hunter types Oldfeller a good chest shot is exactly what you are after, well according to most knowledgeable people. Leave the ear shots to others.
  3. Rifles you regret selling !! I guess most on here will have sold something then regretted it later. For me it was a Sako TRG 41 many years ago when 338 Lapua Magnum was a relatively new round. Bought it through a pal in Finland as a personal import. Super cheap at the time as the pound was strong against the Finnish mark, especially compared to GMKs price for one. Ammo was £56 for 20 back then. Sadly no pics but came across the paperwork whilst clearing out some crap recently. I often wonder if it’s out there still annoying the people on adjacent lanes as the muzzle blast was pretty fierce to say the least.
  4. Thanks for that, I have a few of those, but my old lorry has unfortunately long gone. that's a Austin k2 I believe, I had a Bedford J type 4x4 , should have kept it really, regret it now. there's some real beauties there.
  5. Probably because they're trade only, give them a call. Might be an option for buying your tyres too
  6. Because you can buy the skeleton key for £20.00 not found one yet I can’t open

  11. Yeah , its one of my dreams for when I get too old to lift stuff, that'll probably never happen. Bought a loader instead.
  12. ... and like all rules, there are exceptions.... We've got topped limes in the churchyard which have dropped bits, but yes I guess once they get to a certain size they do knit in.
  13. Theres a guy around ours that uses a Fiat Doblo tipper, looks ok
  14. I bought the varcol 150 @£34, around the time kram spoke of it, I'v used it so far in 9 different saws, of all ages and brands and it's performed flawlessly in all of them.
  15. Marketing / selling of any manufactured item ( woodwork or other ) is not easy , in fact it is a whole subject/ industry in itself , think of all the famous brands ,,coca cola . ferarri, stihl etc they all spend a lot of money and time / effort on marketing !! ...however for such things as woodwork then most probably country shows etc I would imagine would be best ...social media can work but is very time consuming and most followers will be other woodworkers who are unlikely to buy your work , I do a fair bit of woodturning and sell mostly through Galleries but could easily make a lot more stuff than I can sell , craft fairs can be very hit and miss ! Good luck .....
  16. Wordle 1,536 6/6 🟨🟨🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟨🟨🟨 ⬜🟨🟨🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟨🟩 🟨⬜⬜🟨🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 I was in and out of this all day, walked away and gave up on 5. Relooked at it just now, 15 seconds later…bingo! (Or Wordle! To be more accurate)

  21. We use trucks .. we tend to chip into bags for the most, we find that it saves a bit of time, and we also deliver chips by the bag load.. small jobs id take my truck with chipper, chip to the bag, load the bags in the truck.. big jobs second truck with trailer, can chip to trailer or bags .. we have never had a problem so far.. dont get me wrong, a tipper, is the standard and were looking at picking up the right one at some stage, but having trucks is workable ..
  22. Good Morning Everyone.
  23. The 1 at the front, same machine model just 1 year newer but smoother on the tracks and hydraulics.
  24. I would have said that it depends on the "waste". Ex FIL got trailer loads from one mill and it was off cuts and bark etc which was stored outside so was very wet. He didn't get the argument that he should have been paid to take that crap away! I got a bench to go on his old Fergie, got the thing working and collected long lengths from Belvoir sawmill and spent a while slicing these off, good exercise and I could put crap into a barrow and put it on the burn heap rather than log shed. It was too much effort for him and I wasn't there that much so we went back to the crap logs! The stuff was sold as "sawmill waste", not as "firewood" as this has to be below a certain moisture content to be sold!
