  7. sick pay who pays

That's fine, but then the employee shouldn't be entitled to claim sick pay if he has an accident working for someone else. As it stands he is entitled to claim SSP as such the employer should be able to have a say on extra work. Can't have your cake and eat it. As part of our insurance package we can claim when a member of staff is off sick. We get the money and as such can allocate it as we see fit - i.e. top up employee SSP or just use it to bring in a subbie. Not ideal but given HMRC have shafted us it's all we have

  11. Arb Association Logo Change

The tree is indeed based on the original although Paul is also right that there have been a few very minor tweeks. Having seen a few "other versions" I believe it was right to base the tree on the old logo, it also gives a connection to the past while moving forward. Both the RFS & ICF along with other organisations have changed logos in recent times, some being quite different. Ours is 40 years old so ready for an update! With regards opening the discussion up to the membership on the logo; you guys can't agree if Stihl or Husky's are better, what chance would we have with a logo For anyone who wishes to be more proactive and "have a say" in the association the Media & Comms Committee have space for a few more members, we could do with some new blood!
