  2. No problem, and yes we're one of the home owners. Trying to find a way to resolve this that doesn't obliterate all our privacy and ruin all the wildlife opportunities!
  3. They tried that. I guess hampered by what was in power at the time to work with.
  4. Was there a gun licence in the 1960's, I've always known them as firearms certificate or shotgun certificate?

  6. Hi all, I have a Stihl TS400 saw which required a new crankshaft, cylinder and piston. I also fitted a new spark plug and refurbished the carburettor. I rebuilt the saw and when I attempted to start it, it fired up for about 30 seconds and then died. Now it won't even start. It doesn't even sound like it will start now. Any ideas or advice on what it could be please?. Thanks.

  9. Most of the decent compact track loaders are over a ton in weight, but you might want too look at the merlo cinglo compact track skidsteer might be a bit lighter also u can get hydraulic winches and flails for same machine. But expect to have to take cpcs in tracked skidsteer certs or tracked carrier cert on anything to do with utilities.
  10. I became curious , not just in this particular instance, but others that have been posted lately, so I found this,, Just a moment... QUILLBOT.COM apart from the rather obvious clue in the name of the site, it also has a facility in addition to judging whether ai is present, a means of making an ai post or question, more human like. which kinda defeats it's own purpose somewhat.
  11. Seeing the results, I am assuming you are just drawing over the background from maps to get the landscape, buildings and so on - would have to double check that there is no licensing issues if you use other data sources. We get the DWG file or the PDF file after payment?
  12. It’s about as basic a concept as you can get, it helps reduce our impact on trees and is important for minimising wear on climbing ropes and improves the consistency of systems. In the real world their not optional for moving systems, so get used to em now…
  13. Leeks. They're nice just fried up with some cabbage, like onions but sweeter. Even nicer with some lardons or pancetta added as well.
  14. Rocked it today, along with Mark and Doug. Good start helped. Wordle 1,514 2/6* ⬜🟩🟩🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  15. An impact wrench with 500nm of torque will stop turning a big auger long before a drill with 250nm. Impact wrenches provide jolts of peak torque to fulfil their design function of loosening or tightening a machine thread. All that happens when you stick an auger on them is that the tensile strength of the wood fibres absorbs the jolt of toque and the auger fails to advance any further. Impact drivers are use to drive screws into wood, yes, but the purpose of the jolts of torque there is to prevent cam out- where the driver bit slips in the head. Driver bits with a positive lock on the fiuxing head (such as timberlocks with their hex head) do not require an impact driver and will in fact drive far faster with the sustained torque offered by a drill. I must have explained this a dozen times over the years on here, and yet still people just can't grasp such a simple fact. A long arm brace on a quality drill allows you to impact far more torque into a wood thread or auger bit than you ever could with an impact gun.
  16. I was more lucky, when in the market for a 50cc ish saw 15 years ago the chap persuaded me to spend the bit extra and get the 261. Still got it.

Uniforest titanium 14 ton log splitter for sale. I bought this new from Riko UK early 2016, it's got a tail board and lights "not pictured" & weighs around 500kg I believe. We have extended the table so it's easy to work with big rings as there is plenty of room to split without dropping wood on the floor. The table can also be removed so you can either break down big rings on the floor or for splitting billets. It's been used for 2 days since 2020 and has sat in a barn out of the weather. I have as of 2 days ago done a complete service as I didn't intend to sell the machine. New air filter, spark plug, & engine oil all genuine honda & New hydraulic oil, it's all greased up and can be put straight to work. The only issues are very light surface rust where the power coating has come away in places. A wind down leg is missing "doesn't affect anything as it's not needed" & a bolt that I put in to stop the table moving about has snapped "see photo" again doesn't affect the machine. It's been a brilliant machine but I no longer have a use for it. £4000 or very near sensible offer Wakefield west Yorkshire Simon 07977114605
