From the initial reports they key evidence seems to be: 1 - ANPR and cellular evidence that they travelled to and from the scene, 2 - Evidence that they bragged about doing it afterwards, 3 - A souvenir chunk of the victim found in one of their vehicles, and 4 - A video they allegedly made of themselves cutting the tree down! It seems that they are perhaps not the sharpest tools in the toolbox.

Having recently binged watched Yellowstone, then 1923 and 1883 I was pleased to see this chart, as it means net migration will fall below the peak of 3m during Biden's tenure. Trump's reasons for wanting migrants out are likely different to mine, my reason is the beautiful countryside you can see in the Yellowstone series and the whole stretch of wilderness the pioneers ventured through in the 1883 series will be more slowly infected by human nests if the population growth slows. I will never get to see America like those hardy folk who ventured out into Indian lands, and anyway I can't ride a horse, but the less condos the better. Trump's reasons are more crime reduction and reduced spending on benefits, from what I can gather. Maybe I'm wrong During the Biden administration, there were large and unexpected immigration flows at the southern border. The surge was dominated by those who lacked regular status but were allowed to enter for humanitarian reasons, including asylum seekers with a credible fear of returning home, participants in humanitarian parole programs for those fleeing from certain countries, and individuals who received temporary parole or a notice to appear in immigration court. The Congressional Budget Office estimated overall net migration of 3.3 million in 2023, including migration of “other foreign nationals” far higher than historical norms

I'm unsure what this is, the fungus looks back and old. A large amount of wood at the base is soft, wet and powdery/crumbly, but I only probed it quickly with a stick. The oak is reasonably sized, has been reduced hard before, and would hit a house if it failed. However I know oak is very strong and resistant, I dont imagine it would fail anytime soon. Sorry for the poor photo, phone was dirty. A neighbouring tree about 50 meters away had Kretzschmaria, which failed with soft rotten roots in december. This looks more like a ganoderma or old turkey tail?

Ceratocystis platani - Canker stain of Plane
SeeTreePO replied to David Humphries's topic in Tree health care
If UK arbs could spare 5 minutes to complete this survey, it would be greatly appreciated. Its part of a package of Defra funded R&D projects run by Forest Research seeking to understand the threat from plane wilt and improve preparedness and contingency planning. Contributions will be completely anonymous if you wish. Cheers. I would always ask for an updated Survey, I would also do a site visit if anything was controversial or flagging up concerns but as a general comment Officers are underpaid and overstretched with other commitments so not always possible.
