They are designed for it. My Hilux tows 3,500kg regularly, no problem at all. Rangers to the same I am sure. No offence, but this almost looks like a bot posting. Don't know if anyone else feels that way?

I used to use some modified instructions from speaking with other experienced splicers. I am away at the moment and(also) haven’t spliced for a couple of years. I would have to have a look in my splicing manual which is back at home as I had all the modifications and measurements written in that. The main take away was the splices were break tested by other people and were stronger or as strong as the original instructions but the final bury and cover taper made it easier to finish the splices.

Little hedge

Well, Starlink finally arrived early Feb; and a few days ago I got a moment to put it on the roof. Pretty simple really. I now have super fast broadband at work. Had to download the app to my phone but the kit was automatically linked to it, so all I had to do was plug it in and choose a name and password. Not going to get the landline transferred for a few weeks - but the indications are it is fast and reliable. Most important it is not weather dependant. Download speed 100mbs which is what it is capped at as I have the cheapest package. Ten out of ten so far.

I like the basic concept of Steven P's diagram, and following on from other pictures, I wonder if portability is a high priority? Some of them don't look built to be thrown about by a teleporter who's in a rush to get down the pub for a swift one. 🙂 I wonder if Steven's basic design could be adapted to minimise wire usage, at the expense of active drying area? I can't do pretty diagrams, but imagine if a line of his model were created. Basically, just adding three meshes to his first one, ad infinitum? You could then just use one piece of mesh for the back, and you'd still have separate sections. Downsides are it would be a permanent fixture, and less efficient at drying. Just a thought.

I just use whatever wire I have laying about and staple or tie wire it onto the pallet. Tied together with the wire, pig rings or tie wire. Got a few IBCs but find them a pain to unload. H

I would say yes, as long as no steep slopes, Just get other staff to help it out if it struggles.
