  1. When I was getting to know wood turning I made a but plug ( my nephew told me an eggcup I had made looked like one) A friend of mine had been to school in Bath and there are a lot of stone acorn adornments on the buildings there. I gave him this wooden but plug as a present telling him I had made it specially for him to remind him of the buildings in Bath. He was really chuffed and keeps it on his desk at work.
  2. Well, I’ve had it, so has my wife and son, 6 work colleagues and my GP died of it. Does that count? What point are you trying to make? Ischaemic heart disease kills 40000 a year in uk, nearly a third of covid deaths, and we all know about that
  3. a tranny wagon with tree services on it?? surely all who trade in arboriculture are 100% trustworthy, esp the more industrious ones who also specialise in scrap metal, tarmac and roofing
  4. That’s interesting. I have the rat equivalent of this and absolutely useless. Although not licensed for sqizzers ( that came later) I tried it on them but no evidence but I suppose Fox could have done away with the corpses. I shoot and use a heavy spring trap for mine. Make gud eating

  18. im waiting til 21/12. my daughter is coming to stay along with her BF so she is going to choose the tree what she wants, i will let him fell it and then take the top 8ft of the 50ft N Spruce, and i mill the rest😜 Haven't seen her in 6 months
  19. it complies as the site previously had a building on it (an old school hall) plus less than 2.5m within 2m of boundary wall. i also give my neighbour free firewood😘
  20. they are coming out once I have built the lads table. they were to allow the roof to take 16 stones when I was felting it. my head has banged into them more times then I can remember (pun intended). what I have done on my half is to have removable vertical 3" post supports. ie I can remove them if they are getting in the way, leave them in if not. if I was doing it again I would make it gable, I thought a slopping roof would be easier. a mistake I think. made a lot of them but hey ho
  21. yeah yeah yeah. i'm not bending over with my 55yr old back.
