  3. I’ve already got a tin of hammerite to paint it. I don’t care how it looks , just rust free
  4. Me as well. One that covers rust perhaps. My woodland mills isn’t a year old yet!
  5. Yes, I’m thinking of this. Stupid prices[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. Yep. My beautiful daughter and dog
  7. Sycamore Gap • Northumberland National Park WWW.NORTHUMBERLANDNATIONALPARK.ORG.UK Sycamore Gap is a dramatic dip in Hadrian's Wall in the Northumberland National Park.
  8. I think the tree is blocking the view imho
  9. Farmer asked me to remove this tree that has difficult access over boggy ground. What do you reckon?
  10. I’m a specialist mate. But no matter how light I am travelling there is always room for this 95grams Cos the worst thing about camping is getting out you bag for a piss. Problem solved
  11. Yep. Mine is for camping out the car in the woods. Make bread in it as well. When I’m light, I am light!! Dehydrated packets and whiskey in a hip flask with a bivvy bag. In my even younger and ultra lightweight days, no booze, only grass. The best drink I have ever had in my life was a single can of carlsberg! We had walked the ridge from Clough head to helvellyn, got the bivvys out and my bro in law surprised me with one of the 2 cans he had secretly carried all day. I can’t say I drank it, more sucked it down in less than a second [emoji108]

  13. What about crocs? How many of them?
  14. No, ramsons. When I had them you could fly a kite
  15. Makes you fart like a hurricane
  16. cheers. i'm ignorant of this but i've been cruising YouTube and just seen a Yank down one with a 17HMR! these people think nothing of humane dispatch and don't care a monkeys using crossbows etc and letting them bleed out
  17. wow. that is the life. i saw one in Forest of Dean when on holiday but i live in County Durham so not expecting them up here in my life time. if they were local i would get a 243 tomorrow. i was unable to read the RM article as i had to subscribe to a fascist rag but it was about re wilding Britain??? Bring it on IMO...wolves beaver boar...i doubt wolves will ever take off but i would love something done about Pine Martin numbers as that would sort out Grey Squizzers.
  18. Interesting that there are so many knowledgeable shooters on this forum[emoji106] I would love the opportunity to hunt boar. How close is the taste to pork? I imagine a lot leaner
  19. defo agree about the mora knife, great value for me it's fire lighting. good and use a lot never use
  20. looked this up The most common calibres for fox shooting .243: Can be used for both deer and foxes, packs a good punch, and is great for extended ranges. Against this it has a lot of recoil for use with night vision, is loud, and the ammunition is expensive. .22-250: A superb foxing calibre – ammo is widely available, it packs a good punch over extended ranges and has little recoil. .223: Probably the most popular foxing calibre, with little recoil and good long range performance. .222: Known to some as a gentleman’s calibre, it has almost no recoil and will kill foxes out to 300 yards. .204: Having bought this calibre myself for daylight use, I liked it so much that it’s now my rifle of choice for shooting foxes at night. With next to no recoil, precision accuracy and a very flat trajectory, I rarely reach for my
.22-250. nowadays. There are, of course, all manner of other possible choices too, from the .17 centrefires up to full-on deer rifles. Although the various rimfire rifles will kill foxes, they are only suitable at short ranges. If I was, for example, out using a .17 HMR for shooting bunnies and a fox presented a good shot at less than 50 yards, I’d not hesitate to shoot it, but if it was much further out than that I’d leave it alone.
  21. I suppose it might vary between forces. 17hmr ok for foxes in Durham but recommend close ranges only
