  1. How about having a junior section on Arbtalk where they can go?
  2. arguments in the true sense of the word are fine. there is NEVER any reason to resort to name calling. calling people retards or stupid is just not on.
  3. thanks for that. it prompted me to google and got an eyeful of Foxy Cleopatra in a gold bikini😍
  4. anyone see the story about Pontins' having a blacklist of surnames common with Travellers? Basically if you ring up and your surname is O'Reilly or you do tree work using your roofing transit van they say they are full.
  5. yeah but doesn't bother me tbh. he doesn't know me and i think if you resort to name calling than you have little of substance to say. the funny thing is there will be some who do not see the irony in my intolerance jibe
  6. bleeding ell. looks scary and the saws big as well. BTW Trigger, i decided to buy the Grindlux blade sharpener from woodland mills if you remember our conversation several months ago. i always want to be self sufficient if possible
  7. if there is one thing i cannot tolerate is intolerant idiots who call people names 😘
  8. I can’t really say I cut mine today, more hoovered it. Still looks better for it. I was being lazy and trying to mop up all the snowberry twigs and one must have got in to where it shouldn’t have been and I snapped the transmission belt
  9. i really find this offensive in the extreme! i grew up with Bagpuss, i love him and everything he stands for, and finger mouse. i'm reporting you to woke police
  10. RIP Trigger Andy. i loved to read his posts and owe him a debt of gratitude for recommending some decent bandsaw blades. like everyone else i was shocked to hear that his head exploded, killing him instantly, one second after typing that he agreed with someone on Arbtalk. sadly missed
  11. only when hitting something hard though from what I could see. I was only ever milling plantation spruce. oil on max, new sprocket then new bar etc. mind, I would mill for hours at a time. if you are just doing a couple at a time then no probs I would imagine
  12. Last time I looked on the chainsawbars site about lopro a yr or so ago it actually mentioned snapping. Obviously edited it since
  13. if ethanol is the devils work then Hell here i come🍺 such a waste putting in engines
  14. more ethanol will mean more Aspen sales i suppose. Am i right in saying it's the ethanol that clogs up carbs?
  15. I stopped using lo pro on 661 as too many snapping. Did EVERYTHING! Tried for months, then abandoned. Shame as they go thru like a hot knife on butter
  16. I’d get a new keyboard mate
  17. I have a lot of Titan tools and generally happy. I bought the same multi tool a few years ago. Only lasted 2 seasons. Pole fastenings went. Now have a stihl. So not knocking the brand, just the poles
  18. Found this great but.... I thought you did the idle first before high and low?
  19. the reason why booze became a problem was work stress and using it to unwind of an evening. that will not be an excuse this autumn...i hope
  20. Because I have a drink problem I do dry January each year to prove I’ve not. I love drinking, makes me feel relaxed and content but.... By February 1st have alway lost a stone and a half and feel great but then it’s back to normal. I always get my annual blood pressure blood tests done then and they are reasonable. Completely cheating only myself as for the rest of the year I wouldn’t be surprised if they were dire. I’ve always failed to curb it, my last great white hope is that come retirement in august I will not feel the need and will limit it to sensible amounts. I’m really envious and respectful of those who can cut it out completely but it too much a part of my life. I wish it wasn’t
  21. House and garden never so good. Sorted out shed. Anything I hadn’t used for 20 years got thrown out. Sorted and arranged all my tools.. no longer buying something I know I’ve got cos I can’t find the original. Less income offset by a much more quiet time at work. Bought a telescope and a drone, two things I’d been putting off for years. Enjoyed the community spirit of the first lockdown
  22. They are years old I just never nick them, that’s all. Honest
