  1. I’m putting 1” half lap boards either side of the 3” posts hoping to make it warmer and more insulated. I was going to use insulation board but was put off by the price. Still undecided about this. Carpet from a friend going down soon Inside not finished. I wanted to have exterior done before winter
  2. Spruce is all I have. I built a regular shed for my lawnmowers from green spruce 3 years ago. I couldn’t wait for it to dry as my garage roof was leaking. I was concerned re warping etc but to my surprise not a problem. I used half lap joints so any shrinking would not result in water getting in. I had to adjust the padlock latch a few millimetres after a year and as wood preservative is expensive I didn’t put any on.
  3. cheers, yes, i'm on it. if you look close I already have some at the front, ran out of half inch boards doing the roof to my outside bench
  4. Ah. I have no idea about construction. I give it 18 months before it collapses
  5. Dunno what an RSJ is. They are kayaks. Half the shed for me, half for my son’s train setMy mill is parked next to it Oh! RSJ! No, creosoted wood
  6. Put some more pics on please
  7. After 2 years. All Spruce. Cost a fortune in screws. Windows free from a demolished conservatory
  8. Do you mean with the rubber cords in the axle?
  9. Ah well. Fixed it with 3 shims
  10. come to think of it in my defense, when milling it was always supported by all 4 stands, once i'd got it level. I just didn't go the whole hog and see daylight under the tyres. guilty as charge ref leaving on the yard unsupported
  11. [emoji3064][emoji3061]
  12. i bet thats big opening smells of fish, or does this sea gull only eat chips and cornish pasties?
  13. good point. i will do this from now on but again, if this is the case should have been made clear. i spoke to the chap from woodland mills and he is sending out some shims. obviously they know about this but i'm sceptical as the drawings Trigger Andy posted seem to be a good explanation of the problem
  14. i do from now on. i thought that may have been the issue, the extra weight of an 8ft stem. mind, if it wasn't designed to take that it should have been made clear
  15. before i bought it and was looking at other brands in the summer, the Frontier supplier said they do not do the US trailers as they were not robust enough for UK standards!
  16. bought the 126 woodlander in august. the wheels are now angled as shown. i would think the structure is not robust enough for the weight. the second image is with it jacked with no weight on the axel any comments?
  17. My only quandary now is send them off to be sharpened or invest in the Grindlux
  18. Yes. Exactly the same as my woodlander. No forklift, delayed delivery. Running a treat now, getting slicker each session
  19. No more wavy edges. Got the Ripper 37s on but I’m pretty confident the problem was secondary to blunt blades
  20. What mill is it? Sounds like a similar situation I had a few months back
  21. Surprised how good the wire brush is. You only have to brush the cut line so takes seconds
  22. Ok they are not veggies but been a good year for plums. Does anyone know what to do with them apart from plum wine[emoji12]
  23. If you do not mind a slight hijacking of your thread Squaredy, could someone also add just how often does a blade need to be set? I doubt it is with every sharpening. Thinking more economical to occasionally send the blades off to be set rather than invest another £330
