Thanks Matthew, Yes 150kg sounds like the better option. North Essex/Suffolk and around me is predominantly sand or clay. I just like the idea of how versatile the digger can be. Do you know what piping needs to be in the digger for the set up? its got hammer lines and aux by the look of it

I'm looking at getting a P18 like yours Matthew, It will be going on a 2.7 tonne CAT, What weight would you guys recommend for that? will be mainly got banging in squaresawn post and rail? TIA

This has made most rigging an absolute pleasure, so simple to set up. One can use the ring, or pass the loop through the for a pulley block.

Isc small block and a 14mm sirus rope covers most with a tree runner 500 bollard. Isc swing cheek pulleys come in handy for lighter rigging or re directs. Rings really are the way forward though, easy to set up, cheaper, put more friction into the system. Best bit of kit is an old climbing line and a fork for light rigging! If you’re starting up i’d just buy it as you need it

Treat yourself and get makita, last a life time, batteries are amazing, most of their other tools are top notch , I wouldn’t bother getting cheap orbitals if you think chainsaws are tough on the hands.

You'll pull the bricks out, no way would i recommend that. I'd soon rather climb it and dismantle. just get a ground anchor, a metal plate with some pins smashed in and a shackle

Could get a few nice planks out of that, depends how much metals in it

I’ll try and find a better video later, it’s far better than what’s seen in that. Seems to glide seamlessly. With that pushing tick one can push it about standing up while it’s set up on the ground

Alder is a cracking fire wood to mix in with something like oak. Dries really quickly, lovely to process. Leaves a good charcoal put in the burner aswell

Cheers really appreciate that! yes full did piss out when i removed the carb. I did notice a work rear av mount in the process as well. don't know whether thats caused any other issues. Thanks again though!

Just wanted to pick your guys minds on this. Ms460. Turns over on full choke, Move to half choke, Fires up and then dies instantly. Just take the carb out and cleaned it right up. Same problem. Not much of an expert yet but keen to do it as it was my first saw! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

yea i personally feel one should be the same price but at a fraction of the time. after all otherwise you are just spending more money on kit for the customers to reap the rewards/cheaper prices, wouldn't be much incentive of investing.

I’d always would of thought that bigger mechanised kit should mean you charge the same but carry the job out quicker, ie get two jobs done in the same time as one would take another standard gang?
