  1. Is Hyundai cars nothing to do with these garden tools. The cars seem pretty ok now although I’ve never had one
  2. Try growing them in a tall container so fly can’t get to them .fill it with a free draining sandy compost. Don’t let them dry out and you might be lucky or as mentioned head to your greengrocer
  3. Is that tinned sweet corn or dry hard pop corn type corn
  4. I’ve reused a few tree shelters its very time consuming and the volume of tubes will be huge unless you pack them all back into each other. That will take ages nice idea but maybe not practical soz to be negative david

  6. what I do Sit four bags on oversized pallet put a rope round to stabilise them shift them with compact tractor and pallet forks. wont lift them into a trailer thou not high enough lift gets them up off the ground as well which is a bonus
  7. Spoke to Dutch lady today. They eat rhubarb as a vegetable not a ‘fruit’ boiled down into a compote then eaten with meat and another veg

  15. Bewildered by the choice of bikes? first thing is tarmac only or cycle/ forest paths/ tow paths /full mountain bike followed by budget of course there is a degree of adjustment by swapping the handle bars and their attachment in most bikes

  17. Re estate cottages. I think landlords have too much legislation to comply with to rent out their more ‘ basic ‘ cottages the days of renting cheap drafty farm cottages with slug trails up the wall and Smokey chimneys are no more. For better or worse ?

  20. It’s 40 Vigas boiler

Hi i have a Vigas boiler been faultless for 10 years but now the fan is running slow it says 85 percent on screen but not sounding like that and fire takes much longer to get up to temp same fuel as usual I have cleaned out boiler tubes any ideas or anyone know of any dealers ? Our installer has packed in the screen is not good so can’t see what faults it can report which up til now didn’t really matter thanks david
  22. Hi anyone running a vigas boiler ? I am having problems with the fan and display the fan runs and having taken cover off it seems to be running freely with no wobble or seizing but doesn’t run as fast as it should sound it makes is different I touched the hub ? Of the fan with my finger and very light pressure slowed it right down And briefly a little more pressured stopped it my display is almost impossible to read but instructions say it can show faults any ideas appreciated thsnks david
  23. For some reason I thought it was to the main post office in a town. Anyone else told this at school ?
  24. Bags ok if you don’t go smaller than pencil size any smaller and they do get stuck and no weight in bag.
  25. I have found that The fine twiggy bits may be more trouble than they are worth good for kindling or cheering up the fire but that’s about it mine go in barrow bags or nets no bother drying stacked then covered above only in winter if you just lie them in a heap may have to turn them a bit ??
