  3. Hi any opinions on how my leeks will survive prolonged frost going down to -9 I could lift ,saw them up and put infreezer or just leave them to it only got about a dozen left so not a big disappointment if they don’t make it Thanks. David

  10. I have been getting lazy and putting mine into ventilated barrow bags. Saves time on the load up but they then need tipped out and put in buckets to get them into boiler swings and roundabouts they seem to dry out fine
  11. I’ve put whole willow thru mine and there was too much small stuff that didn’t really get cut up well and formed a loose tangly birds nest if there is two of you on the machine perhaps you could divert the small stuff as it starts to come thru into a waste pile/ sack??

Got a Jotul no4 Easter island shape about 25 years ago as a stop gap and it’s still going door a bit loose and fire bricks need renewed was at some ones house with a modern woodburner and there did seem to be a useful difference in heat output as well as nice to have a glass door assume increased effiency would never pay for a new stove or be effective in terms of effort and co2 output (I gather and process my own wood) Quite fancy a change but is it just an indulgence any opinions? david

  16. Hi I found this in a customers shed and brought it home cleaned out tank and fuel lines off oily gunk and it ran fine however air filter has disintegrated and I can’t find a replacement any tips on where to find one thanks david

Hi ive decided to bring my poly tunnel back to life do you think I can put more anti heat tape over the existing stuff on the hooops or do I need to scrape the tape of and start again if it does need to come off what’s the best method tried scraping but a bit worried I was danaging the galvanising Any tips or experience very welcome thanks
  20. Is Hyundai cars nothing to do with these garden tools. The cars seem pretty ok now although I’ve never had one
  21. Try growing them in a tall container so fly can’t get to them .fill it with a free draining sandy compost. Don’t let them dry out and you might be lucky or as mentioned head to your greengrocer
  22. Is that tinned sweet corn or dry hard pop corn type corn
  23. I’ve reused a few tree shelters its very time consuming and the volume of tubes will be huge unless you pack them all back into each other. That will take ages nice idea but maybe not practical soz to be negative david
