  2. Nice work mate, how do you load and turn your logs?
  3. That's why I didn't post before I was called a walker. If I had a log, I'd offer it.

  6. Get a job with your brothers for 12 months. If you're still there next year... Good luck
  7. Reputable dealer in Brittany. As soon as I read this, I knew it's going wrong. Reputable Breton is an oxymoron. My brother in Redon Had a blocked oil pump, 250euro to replace on a saw that cost 200 new! Next month I'm moving near Rennes. I'll be getting my uk dealer to send me aspen and other kit.
  8. 9000 rpm is slow. Really, really slow. 12k sounds about right. If a bit slow. 661=13.5k rpm 880=12.5krpm Without loads. Are your rpm guides the speed in the cut? Or the speed without load?
  9. Builders bag 1000 litres Wheelie bin 240 litres ...
  10. Outsider, What are the biggest logs you intend to mill? There are various engineering differences between the 660 and the 880. Though the 880 is 1krpm slower than the 660, it's built like a tank. The 660 is nearly at the limits of stress tolerance. Milling is the hardest thing a saw has to do. If you intend to mill lots of 12-18" green or softwood a 660 would be quicker and lighter.

  14. It's an interior wood, rots easy outdoors. Cut it thick 2-3". If you try 1" planks, you will spend half the day with a file in your hand. Turn the oiler all the way up too. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  20. Let's look at history... Humans evolved in Africa before moving into the Middle East. Then into mainland Europe. And lastly made it to Britain. That makes all of us African,Arab,European and British. matelot what do you think your ancestors would think about you? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Under 3 feet log diameter, the 660. Bigger log, bigger saw and chain. A 660 will struggle on a 48" bar, an 880 will sing. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. How thick is the log? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
