  1. More than ouch. Poor bloke
  2. As I said before, they capitulated. No arguments, "move your wood". I had no say. How do you think it could have been dealt with better?
  3. Sorry Donk, it's not tosh. It happened to me. The owners are ladies, ones a lawyer. However they are spineless, so capitulated. I got ducked. Sadly common sense isn't common, and often has duck all to do with the law. No covenant police? Why have covenants if they aren't enforced? Hmmm... Tosh.....
  4. The 462 just came put in Germany. 70 odd cc. The 500i looks similar to the carbon concept saw (3 exist) and the jet saw(1 exists) Any more spec or is it just another concept saw?
  5. 47 foot by 21 foot by 2 foot thick? You sure? [emoji12]
  6. Inches, feet ,centimetres ? Probably got all of that, But I'm in France. Could send it over? When do you need it?
  7. Having trouble reading AND understanding again matelot? [emoji23][emoji12]
  8. Another massacre in the states. 50+ dead, 400+ injured according to BBC. Motivation unknown.
  9. Change of use. Depending on where you live it's either council rubber stamp or lots of paperwork. Can't remember which way round, but some change of use is just a formality. Good luck mate.
  10. European powers were scared the revolution in Russia would spread through Europe. That's why fascism was supported. Imagine working people running there own country without the ruling classes. Hence American support for Mussolini etc. Jewish terrorism? No. They won. (Against the British) If you win you're a freedom fighter. If you lose you're a terrorist.
  11. Anyone else feel like we are re-living the 1920/30s? Change the word Jewish for Muslim.
  12. What do we import from Europe anyway? Apart from all our food and manufactured goods. Everyone knows the British make the best chainsaws in the world anyway... [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  13. Check the deeds for covenants. After 5 years in my last yard, neighbour sent the owners a letter giving one week to clear everything within one meter of the boundary. A "friendly" letter before he took us to court.
  14. Too many unknowns with second hand kit. The jobs dangerous enough without stuff breaking. Years ago got given a used "unbreakable" hatchet. Back cutting a 4' diameter oak tree, tapped a wedge in. First tap the head snapped off. 20 ton tree wobbling in the breeze. I buy everything new from reputable manufacturers now. It's not snobbery, it's life saving.

Cherry? Just burnt a tree like that.
  16. Hey Steve, how much sycamore do you need? Will probably have some coming up in the next few months.
  17. Burn the wood, not leaves and berries
  18. Get a big GB or canon bar from Rob D. Has to have a sprocket end. You will lose 6" approx with an Alaskan set up correctly. Bars are about £300 ish and chains retail about £70. Also milling is hard on your machine, fuel, oil, etc. The 075 is a strong saw but you will need to use the manual oiler on 48" bar. (Get an auxiliary oiler from rob d). I charge upwards of £425 Per 8hr day with two people. Bio degradable chain oil and motomix. Many saws, mills etc.
  19. I used to cut bay in to 1-2" cubes for Caribbean restaurants, for smoking meats. They tell me it's the closest thing to pimento wood.
  20. Quite happy to chip in for a ticket. One way, to send you to "the third world". Guarantee you'll learn something.
  21. You could mount them on plywood? Use clear resin? Start with a kiln dried log? Those will split.
