  1. Seen lorry loads of strapped billets in Brittany France. [emoji106]
  2. Have you climbed up and had a look to see if the nest is in use? Most nests I spot are usually empty. I presume they take a while to rot away? Found an old drey with a dried out squirrel inside a few weeks back. [emoji3][emoji106]
  3. Can't remember the amount of jobs which completed early, get an extra £20[emoji23] The decent companies will notice and get you back. And charge more for you, so they pay you well. There are some great crews out there, it's just hard to find them. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  4. Stihl have a list of stolen saws. Take one in to get it serviced, if it's nicked they take it away. [emoji106][emoji3][emoji3]
  5. How about buy 4 bars at a time, big discount? [emoji57][emoji3][emoji106]
  6. Milling should come with a government health warning. It is addictive. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  7. I can relate to that. [emoji106]
  8. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji106]
  9. Everyday is a school day [emoji3] but if that article is to be believed, should I build a wooden shed? Or just not fill it with pellets? [emoji848]
  10. That's scary. Why are pellets doing that? When log cabins don't?
  11. I'm looking for tried and tested by Arborists. My wife used to make my lunches at home many years ago. I worked 12hour shifts in heavy industry. I'd come back, she'd made a petite mushroom and rice salad with a slice of bacon cut up on top. About 300 calories. So that winter I took her to work with me in the woods for a day. 6 hours of dragging brash was enough for her. When we got home I asked what she would like for dinner? Her expression was rather scary as she demanded, "Burgers!!!" [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
  12. This is why I cut trees for a living. [emoji12]
  13. I used to carry a gas stove, kettle etc But I have to leave my van at the depot now. Pie shops are great, but my budget is quite limited, hence my curiosity about sarnie fillings. Can't do breakfast until 8.30, work starts at 7.30 Sarnies in the van. [emoji106]
  14. Can you get a full wrap handle for a stihl 261?
  15. That's a good idea pdizzle I'm just going through a really lazy cooking stage, I cook 2 meals at a time, then eat the lot in one go. [emoji3] Has anyone anything better than coronation chicken? [emoji848][emoji106][emoji106][emoji3]
  16. @openspaceman I hope my poor attempt at humour hasn't offended you. The nuances of the written word are often lost.
  17. Once. My wife and daughter made me lunch. Tuna and cucumber sarnies, crisps, healthy seed bar, nuts, dried and fresh fruit and a yoghurt. All in my wife's shiny new lunch box. Loaded the van, put lunch box on roof, drove off. 30 miles later no lunch. Doooooooooooohhhhhh!!!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji15]
  18. I'm not being serious. Hence ??‍♂️[emoji12][emoji12][emoji12] Not trying to offend half of England. [emoji848][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] What's the blouse thing about?
  19. Love to hear the conversation. [emoji23][emoji848]
  20. Unless the wood is heated to a reactionary temperature, no CO2 will be released. Drying = removal of water below 100c. Vacuum kilns aside. To extract CO2 and other volatile gasses you have to heat to at least 250-300+oC. Co2 is nasty stuff, 2percent is dangerous but carbon monoxide is worse. Above 1 percent CO is very toxic by 10% it's nearly lethal. But same in regards to heating it to extract gasses. How hot is your kiln? [emoji106]
  21. Getting bored of tuna mayo sarnies, What do you eat for lunch at work? What's your best sarnie filler? [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  22. Spot on Gary. That's the main trunk a foot off the ground. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] No surprise it fell over. Had a meeting with the TO's about this, this morning. Glad no one was climbing it. [emoji106]
