  1. I meet ex military every week. This week parachute regiment and infantry, last week logistics core. In answer: yeah loads. Good grafters. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  2. One with a built in winch and a set of jockey wheels on the saw side. 42" sugi hara sprocket nosed bar, And granberg ripping chain, An 8 tooth sprocket for medium diameter wood is fun. [emoji3] All available from rob d. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  3. For the last couple of years I've used a Jack. He's really big and strong and loves nothing more than digging a trench around a stump before axing roots and using a long bar to rip it out of hole. All with a sweaty smile[emoji106] He's done a 3' stump in about 2-3 hours. Should really buy a stump grinder though. [emoji12]
  4. This is exactly why I don't use eBay anymore. ??‍♂️
  5. Cold metal on cold metal is wrong. Get a gnarly log drill a 1.5 inch hole through it. Attach handle of your choice. Voila: a big mallet [emoji3] Much better[emoji106]
  6. Cows arse is the correct translation ??‍♂️
  7. My brother drove from France to uk to buy an aga for £300. Should sell fine for that price. [emoji106]
  8. I'm sure under the consumer act, a client has to have 24hrs between quote given and accepting it. Otherwise in court client will say "pressured into accepting" then the court will rule in favour of client automatically. Tread carefully [emoji51]
  9. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] My phone number is in the employment forum. [emoji3]
  10. Took my msa200 on my 30/31 early last year. Tutor told me "THIS is a petrol chainsaw course". Told him to try it. 5 cuts later, he's looking at the machine saying **** me It cuts really well. [emoji848] The smallest saw I had was a ms440 with 16" bar. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  11. It always amazes me the skills and knowledge expected of a groundie, Yet very few companies want to pay for it. [emoji848]
  12. Shit happens Guys a pr**k. Take it on the chin as Steve says. And never work there again. We've all been there. [emoji51]
  13. So, most motorway services now charge £100 for parking over 2 hours. BP charge £100 for over 30 mins!!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] ****'s Apparently its unenforceable though. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  14. No. Petrol chainsaws only.
  15. Yes you will see an increase in chain speed, I put an 8tooth 3/8 full chisel on my 661 with 25" bar to speed up cross cutting medium oak. Wouldn't want to fell/bore cut with one as accuracy is a bit difficult. Cuts like a m*********er!!!! [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  16. I should have said stihl only do... A .404 9 tooth sprocket eh? Hmmm I've a got a 17" bar with a 3002 mount. What are you running with that sprocket. [emoji12][emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  17. I'm thinking of building a large "shed" in the garden to keep tools/machines in. Storing wood has always been a problem though. Let us know how you get on. [emoji106]
  18. 8 tooth sprocket for 404? Thought they were only available for 3/8?
  19. I'm not. No workshop, no yard. Most of my tools in storage. Got offered a container for £375 a month [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Had to sell all my milled wood for firewood when evicted from last place. Broke my heart. Don't think I'll ever rent a yard again, too precarious. I'd prefer to buy, but I'm years away from that. ☹️
  20. I've given up trying to find a yard. ☹️
  21. You really are a limp prick vesp [emoji51]
  22. Using stein rigging rope, rated at 3 ton with a tirfor winch. For 70m you'd probably need 2 ropes.
