  1. We had two forst tracked chippers go wrong in one week. Great machine when it worked. Big bandits are monsters, A winch is a must for a big chipper. [emoji106]
  2. Another vote for the Andrews boots [emoji106]
  3. Thanks Dan, I'll try him on Monday [emoji106]
  4. Just found out my credit score is very low. Never had credit/loans. No finance available.
  5. Anyone recommend a decent firm? [emoji106]
  6. In my younger days, I was a bit sporty. The most intense exercise I've ever done by a long way was kickboxing. There's no better motivation than knowing if you're not training hard enough you'll get the shut kicked out of you. Not suggesting you fight, but the training regime was hardcore. [emoji106]

  9. Yesterday's job: Whilst eating a sandwich, clients very small terrier type dog stuck his face in my coffee and was lapping away. I threw the coffee on the lawn. Next thing this dog flys in from the left, takes a bite out of my sandwich. Everyone pisses themselves with laughter. The lads are still texting me today.... [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  10. That's beautiful mate [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  11. Your 660 should cut much faster than the lawn mower in the video. It's all about a very sharp chain, correct tension and the depth gauges in accordance to the species,mc,width of cut, chain type and engine size. If you just want to slab, stick with the chillaskan or upgrade to a panther mill. To make dimensional timber with a chainsaw, have a look at Logosol Saw mills. I've often thought about putting a 2 litre diesel 4 stroke on a 10' bar. [emoji12][emoji106]
  12. Be interesting to compare stock with ported. But was anyone surprised the 90cc ported Saw was the fastest? Anyone had a 261 ported? [emoji106]

    Air Tools

We hired a road tow compressor and a very long hose, only had to move compressor once. Air spades rock[emoji41]
  14. Yeah, I wanted to try that, but they're really hard to catch. [emoji12][emoji106]
  15. Quarter cup of condensed milk in ya coffee with clotted cream scones. [emoji13][emoji95][emoji7]
  16. Yes it's easy to carve, but will probably rot away before you finish[emoji12][emoji106]
  17. I don't own or use ported saws, But I have used a few briefly for test cuts. Not faster chain speed but more torque, which means you can run a longer bar. [emoji106]
  18. I've just emailed my insurance group about working with ported saws. I'll post their reply. [emoji106]
  19. As much power vs as little weight. That's the crux. If I could use a 261 with a 25/30" bar, I would. Rather than lug a 461/661. Anyway, petrol saws will be obsolete by 2040. Electric saws will have taken over before then too. Used by robots.... Ported saws will go the same way as the steam engine. So get your saws sent to spud ASAP! 20. "A wall mount... for display purposes only". [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji106]
  21. Watching a young climber rigging down an huge ash tree. He sent a heavy union down, it bounced out away on the branches, before swinging back into the clients tinfoil shed. It left a perfect union shaped indentation about 4 inches deep. The whole site just stopped with mirth for several minutes. Looked like something straight out of a cartoon. Fortunately the boss was a secret Jedi who beat the panel nearly flat again with a log. Client was very impressed. [emoji848][emoji6][emoji51][emoji106]
  22. Today's beech tree had it all. Spalted, infused, rippled, unions and inclusions. Maxed out the 60" panther mill several times. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  23. And I genuinely don't know about insurance, but every time I insure a vehicle, my insurers ask several times if I've modified the engine in any way. Every time.
