  1. You’re creating a Strawman Argument, simple as that. To claim those who are vehemently against a sport that gets its kicks from ripping an animal to pieces are only doing so out of jealousy or because in your opinion they are not in a position to join in is about as asinine as it gets. You’re exposing your own ignorance and your posts insult everyone who has the misfortune to read them.
  2. Yet more mealy nonsense from yourself.
  3. I sell sheet loads of 'Mantles' through Facebook market place. Got two going out today in fact. Give away prices since he's taking two. £125 each for 1.2m x 150mm x 100mm. I started a small FB page for the Milling, lots of enquiries through that too.
  4. Help the Farming community by providing them employment in carrying out the servitudal roles needed by the Gentry so the farmers can continue to put food on their plates.
  5. Ah ok. Too far to make economical I think.
  6. Where are you based? Ive taken down a few Cherry Trees in my garden lately and the latest Storm has taken down a few more.
  7. I'll ask him when he comes out tonight. Lovely Dogs. I really want one as well. But with two Samoyeds already Id like a Family Friendly Guard Dog and from what my work mates says his Elghunds are no better than my Sammies at deterring Pikies. They have a good bark on them but will just lick any intruder to death before defending the property. I'll look into the Jämthund. How much for a pup?
  8. I’ve Norwegian work mates who hunt Elg and use Elghunds. As far as I can tell the Hounds don’t bring down the Elk and rip it to pieces although I believe that has not always been the case. I’ll get an update off of him this afternoon at shift change. Funnily enough we’ve been watching a Norwegian Hunting series these last few days.
  9. You cant pass up a golden opportunity like that.
  10. Having done work in the Middle East and the Sahara I can testify as to how frustrating it is to wear full PPE including Hardhat, Full length Cover-all, Steel Toe Boots and Gloves in near on 40-50c. Perhaps worse though is around the equator and the humidity 24 hours a day.
  11. Well thats cleared that up then.
  12. Matt says his missus is from a council estate. Kev mentions it. Matt wants to punch his teeth down his throat. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Certainly not openly. You cant just set up a Cock and Dog fight night, bring the Cocks and Dogs then pretend that they're not going to actually fight and when they do its just a woopsie, never meant to happen. Wise up.
  14. Im curious if its when you go over 10,000 posts you're allowed to abuse people and use the language you're using with impunity? Whenever I do I get slapped with a 7 day ban. I only ask as Im now at 8000 posts so not long until I enjoy the same level of double standards you seem to enjoy.
  15. Your assumptions are yet again wrong. Im born and raised in the country. I still live in the Country in an old Farm House. I was raised as one of four siblings in a council house/flat by my Mother. We grew up for the most part with virtually nothing. That I am.
  16. I see where your coming from here. I feel if I where to take the stance of being against raising beasts and birds for the pleasure of blasting them outta the sky or shooting them then Id have to become a vegetarian. That is if they're being eaten after of course. I think being raised in the wild, or as close to the wild as possible then cleanly dispatched is a far better life than on a farm and then killed to Halal standards.
  17. The Laird getting stuck in on my first log. [emoji16] There’s nothing he does not know about breeding Red and Fallow Deer. He’s sold stock to Germany and as far away as Australia (pre-foot and mouth) and still gets called with questions.
  18. No, nor have I joined a shoot. I don’t really have that much interest in it. Been offered to take down a Stag. Not really into that either. They gave me a nice Trophy head instead, it’s now above my mantle piece.(old pic) Could go Salmon Fishing whenever I want in Season, CBA either. Far to busy at home. I don’t have a have a problem with any of these sports as it’s far more humane even if it’s not really my thing or something I have time for. But I know a bunch of the Beaters. Some live on the Estate. They love the beer money and do it for the peasant, I mean Beater Shoot after the gentry have had their fun.
  19. I know loads who beat. My mates got an Estate and when it’s their turn for a shoot try all flock over (pun intended) Why do they take £80 a day then if it’s just for fun? They struggled to get enough till they upped it to £80. None of them would do it unless they go their beaters day either. Plebs don’t tend to have their own Estates so have to dance to the Estate Owners Tune and all pretend they donut for the fresh air and doggie walks. 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe it’s more of a class thing round my way? By Glamis Castle there is a lot of ties to the RF. “The Laird” on the Estate certainly is. Helped me Mill (whittle ) my first ever log there at the age of 80 as well. He actually sounds just like Prince Charles.
  20. They do throw the plebs a bone just to give the look of inclusion and now a classless sport that’s no longer a blood one. Then bugger off on the real hunts with the rest of the landed gentry. It’s a bit like Pheasant shooting round our way. The Beaters on minimum wage get a Beaters Shoot at the end of the Season. They doff their caps to their betters and say thank you very much for the scraps they leave. I don’t think people realise that if you’re Sink Estate Scum that’s all you’ll ever be. If you’re paying £40 to play at Fox Hunting all you’re doing is aiding the real Hunters in whitewashing the sport whilst they laugh at you.
  21. There is simply no justification. There’s loads of Horsey types round us. How they get by without poncing around “pretending” to hunt Foxes I’ll never know. Loads of game estates around us too. I have no issues with that. A close friend has a Deer and Salmon Estate with the usual game bird shoots. Fine with that too since they’re not getting a semi off of watching dogs slowly rip apart animals.
  22. Well, your suspicion is inaccurate. Well yes, in the context of dispatching an animal that is generally the definition of humane. As opposed to a protracted and painfilled death as per the examples I have previously mentioned. Im not really sure that equating enjoying the slow and painful death of animals with living in a rural part of the UK goes hand in hand. Having lived in remote parts of Scotland most of my life I have yet to find someone who shares your definition of rural, and I hope I never do. PM me if you'd like an answer to that question.
  23. I dont have plenty money, Ive never stated that. I'll admit Im paid fairly well though. As are you. Being paid a good wage does not make me Landed Gentry unfortunately. Yes, I think it is best we agree to disagree as you clearly have no idea what hunting is all about. Now off to the Stables with you, your master needs his boots polished.
