  1. My bad....
  2. 291 is classed as semi pro saw, same target market as 4501. Sounds like a problem with your Oil feed pipe, hardly worth buying a new saw over. Build quality of the echo machines is far superior to both stihl and husqvarna, I’ve no experience of the dolmar saws so can’t speak of them...
  3. Yep, both owned by Electrolux. Buy an Echo, 4501 is for domestic/semi pro, 501 is pro spec. Autotune and m-tronic saws don’t like sparodic use.
  4. Have 2 piece sides, bottom small sides fold downwards so wheels don’t fill up with crap.
  5. I’m still not sure how he even got post in there in the first place....
  6. new sign for the week til I get a post box
  7. This lad is in Tipperary in Ireland, importing jap 4x4 dynas...
  8. Local pikey made the local papers last month, met him afterwards, he couldn’t understand the problem “sure that chain has held a lot worse boss”
  9. Foo fighters live at reading festival on bbc 4 at 10pm tonight, that’s my night sorted!
  10. Great if you want to meet your mates at a non-urban location too, just text them the three words. You out walking the dog late at night? [emoji16][emoji16]
  11. Living in scenic west cork for the last 3 years, seems to draw arseholes on bikes like flies to shite... so I put a 12v air horn on the Landcruiser last summer. I doesn’t make them move over but it’s fun watching them wobble in panic after a quick blast....
  12. Fine big girder half way down the other side for an anchor.... price the mewp/scaff (big bucks quote) and give them that first, then give a quote to climb and fell for two ton less and everyone’s happy...
  13. It was more “come lift me down please, I’m ready for a nap on the couch after all that”.... girlfriend was not impressed with it though....
  14. Today’s escapades....
  15. https://www.donedeal.ie/view/10725184 Log holder/32 COUNTY DELIVERY/Saw horse Bought this last year, fill it up with as many lengths as you can and rip through it with a 20” bar ona 395. Fill a “ton” bag in 15 minutes. Looking at buying another one this year so one can be filled while cutting the other...
  16. Newest addition to the pack, she’s my sister in laws so technically not mine but she likes me more than her already! [emoji16][emoji16]
  17. Has anyone any experience of the lindana tp100? Has an optional “mover”, I’m assuming electric drive?
  18. Surely it doesn’t need to be at such a steep angle or am I missing something?
  19. Those ldv tippers have a gtw of 4000kg, waste of time with a chipper behind it.
  20. He came in and collected it today, it’s gonna go on a 30” mill for the summer and he’ll hire a woodmiser for his bigger lumps. I’m not sure if he’s on here but if not I’ll keep the thread updated as he goes along.... the 288 piston and pot upgrade is looking to be very likely soon enough too!
  21. Took a 281 in as a trade in against a 562 last weekend and I’ve a mate looking for a milling saw, he was using his bosses 3120 but it’s time to get his own saw. Would the 281 pull his 36” bar? It’s not long term but something to keep him going until he can afford a 3120/880 of his own.
  22. https://www.donedeal.ie/view/20895866 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series Worth a look if it is as genuine as he says it is...
  23. If you’ve got ten grand to spend, spend 7 on the best amazon you can find at that money and put another grand into a major service after you buy it. Keep the other 2k in reserve for a shitty day... Buy the amazon, you won’t regret it!!
  24. 3 litre land cruisers aren’t rated for the 3500kg towing, my 03 is 2750 and newer models go to 3000kg. Remapped mine during the summer to 190hp and it pulls like a hoor at a stag party! I do remember an Amazon being used to move a 5ton digger on the cashel bypass regularly over 3 years in the mid 00’s and the trailer gave up before the cruiser, think that man still has that cruiser on the road...
