  1. Google the serial number?
  2. Buy an Echo 501sx and run it on Aspen, 5 year domestic warranty, Japanese build quality and a Tsumara bar.
  3. Sorry for your loss Steve, always loved Border terriers, always an attitude as big as their hearts. RIP, running in peace... ??
  4. Thanks lads, ye’re kind words are why I love this thread, was trying to explain it to the misses today and the only way I could was to say in 2250 posts there’s never been an argument unlike every other thread on the forum. on a side note, anyone that says it’s just a dog need only look at my other terrier Rosie, a daughter of Kipper. She hasn’t eaten all weekend and is definitely grieving. They are a lot more than ‘just a dog’...
  5. Just home from burying my 15 year old terrier bitch, ended up driving her two hours to my home place so the family vet could put her to sleep. buried her between her sister and her brother on a hill looking down on the homeplace, 4th generation of that line to go there. Cried like a child for most of the drive home.... her sister on the left
  6. Tried the apple ones but the stalk(?) got trapped between my jaw and the ear muff, bought little ear buds and they work a treat. 4 hours music, they charge from the little case that they’re stored in and get 2 or 3 days out of them. When one goes dead I swap buds so constant play time from them....
  7. Be interested to see that alongside the 2.7 ton bobcat, trade off in capacity v weight. Looks a tidy little job though... [emoji1303][emoji1303]
  8. If you want a wildflower meadow just hire in someone with a flail and collector twice a year. 1300 is a lot of hours hire....
  9. You buy em, I’ll test em!! [emoji383][emoji383][emoji383]
  10. I know you’re not gonna do this job now but I’m curious . Could you not have got access to the field, cut the fence and butt the whole tree out into the field?
  11. No reason you can’t cut the tree flush with the shear and I know which one one I’d rather be behind on a breezy day...
  12. 12” 100hp self crane fed quadchip and its under 3500kg on the trailer?
  13. Tree shear and grab would give more control, and ability to bunch timber too. Cool idea but there’s better ways of doing things...
  14. [emoji23][emoji23]
  15. Sell the 455 and buy a mk2 550
  16. Not commercially but I’ll spend a weekend every month or so cutting windfall trees for neighbouring farmers in return for the timber. Use their tractor, grab and trailer to bring it home and heap brash for burning. Haven’t had to buy timber for the last 5 years....
  17. Quickest way out would be fell and whole chip, plenty of lads looking for biomass. it won’t get the biggest return but it’s quick.
  18. Will a stihl oil filter fit the pipe?
  19. I’ve tried them, they’re too thick, just about useless for handling and cutting.
  20. Ran a stock 395 with an 8 pin on 20 3/8 .058 for a while, holy hell ‘‘twas quick but it kept breaking the chain tensioner if I cut with a pushing chain so gave up on it, switched back to 7 pin after buying all the tensioners my local dealer had in stock... ??‍♂️??‍♂️
