  1. Popped up on my Facebook memories just now, taken two years ago on the first day of Storm Emma. Tried leaving her in front of the fire while walking the two young ones but she was having none of it. Ended up with a hot water bottle under her arse to keep her warm while she looked out over my shoulder and barked at the other two every so often if they went too far ahead ??
  2. Had two caretakers at my secondary school like that. Had a 2’ square tray with two stiff brush heads upside down in the bottom with a few inches of water for cleaning their boots before walking across paths after planting flower beds in spring.
  3. Had a quick Google, max towing 2800kg, digger is 2930, trailer is 900kg. lots of hills in West Cork too!! ??‍♂️??‍♂️
  4. Spotted on Engcon UKs Facebook page just now, I reckon she’d be a fair weapon with a tree shear on the back and a grab on the front for site clearance.
  5. Just spotted this on the way for a pint... Surely at least a ton over weight?
  6. I’m stealing that, it’s brilliant!! ??
  7. Petrol has got to be handier for that size engine. Less vibes, less weight, easier service. You’d need to burn a lot of fuel to make up the price difference between the two engines as well.
  8. I run the .325 X-cut on a 346, it’s a little ripper, use a vallorbe or a husky file for regular sharpening and it’s fine. Easier give it a tickle of a chain grinder if it gets damaged, takes too long to bring back with a file. I’m looking at going the other way, thinking of running the X-cut on my ms200 if I can find a bar to suit.
  9. Was on call with utility work last year, weekends only. €25 a night and double time on a call out. €75 to stay off the beer for the weekend and live 2 miles from the yard, take a company van home.
  10. Have to buy a new pair anyway but just wondering is it worth resoling the old pair to keep as a spare pair? Also can anyone recommend who to resole them?
  11. I’ve always wondered why head and shoulders dont have a shower gel called Knees&Toes ??
  12. The ferry from Rosslare is a bit expensive for just a days chipping unless ye can comp it? ?? anyway I should have been clearer, it’s the tracked versions I’d be interested to see side by side, I can’t see the point of a 6” tow behind that weighs over 750kg.
  13. Really need to see a video of this and a tw230 side by side....

  15. I knew it sounded too easy... ??‍♂️??‍♂️
  16. Imagine walking around the Arb show in full ppe with that on your leg!! ?????????
  17. My mrs will be based out of a London office but travelling most weeks nationally and internationally, her company will cover accommodation for her(hotels most nights) and a company car so I’m looking at it as an opportunity to put in big hours or night shifts and save a few bob. Accommodation is crazy money in London so I figure the further away the better, the Midlands should give a more central base for work in general, an hour in any direction will cover a lot more ground than in London...
  18. Just rang Bali to get an explanation and the girl reckoned I should get a blue skilled Arb card, chainsaw tickets would cover me for that. Looks simple enough, quick online test and a couple of pics of certs and my mugshot. 360 tickets are a question for CPCS so gonna give them a buzz tomorrow...
  19. Irish lad Looking at a long term job in the midlands, my mrs has been offered a job in London so looking at moving. I know my Nptc tickets will transfer over but how do I go about getting onto a site? In Ireland you need a ‘Safepass’, it’s a one day, idiot proof, safety course that basically ensures you don’t lick windows and eat crayons, costs about €80. Had a digger, roller and ADT ticket that ran out in 2013, can renew them here before I go over but don’t think they’ll transfer to the UK system? Any advice or training centres I could call to put me straight? Don’t want to spend an absolute fortune on training I don’t need by would like a few options if first job doesn’t work out...
  20. I was thinking the same but it’s a big jump from 35 to 50 then 70cc! Heavy saw but ideal for ringing up logs... couldn’t find it on Friday jones site earlier, only the 565
  21. Probably comes down to your local dealer, Exho Ireland were spot on when I was dealing with them, I worked for a Husky/Echo main dealer and rarely had problems apart from user error. Regarding popularity I think it’s more so that Stihl and Husky have a huge dealer network, brand image and marketing but anyone that uses the Echo pro stuff rarely has a bad word to say about them.
